I decided to opt out for a refurbished one instead of new one because of the price. I got lucky and I could tell only the packaging was a bit beat up, but the product itself was brand new! Easy to install and easy to control on the app.

Requires some technical experience to program.Can be set to adjust for when away.Hooks up to wifi, through a Honeywell app.Works with various heat sources, single and multistage AC and heat.

I use this thermostat to control my hybrid system of Gas Furnace and Heatpump. I had added a Mitsubishi heatpump to my gas furnace and changed the prior T5 thermostat to this T6 model. The external temperature sensor option (sensor purchased separately but should be included), seamlessly allows me to set the changeover temperature to Gas operation which I set at -6C. I like the Honeywell/Resideo thermostats because they work well with excellent customer support.

Using it for my Nordic geothermal heatpump. Easy wiring setup - the easiest yet for all thermostat I've installed. LED touchscreen is so user-friendly! If compatible with your system - order it.
