Easy to install, good fit, works great - I have it in my VW Eurovan camper, prior owner added a hitch just for their bike rack. I don’t expect to tow much, if anything, but since I had the hitch I wanted to do a weekend project and wire it for the future, or the option. This came recommended, and it was a good price on Amazon.

The package got slightly squished in the mail, but the contents were just fine. Everything was there and in perfect condition. A very good price for the best installation method. Much better price than at the local auto parts store. arrived very quickly. Highly recommended.

Work great on our Kia Sedona. Our unit was actually a NAPA brand. Wish the wires can be a bit longer. Need to extend a couple.

No lo recomiendo nada, sirvio bien una semana, después de ahí se quedo pasando corriente todo el tiempo uno de los pines, lo cual no debería se suceder. No hay nada de soporte para este tipo de problemas. Hubiera elegido otra marca.

I bought this to replace a non-powered converter I had installed in my Tow Vehicle (TV). The non-powered converter had problems powering all the lights on my trailer, so I installed this one. For this it works great!My issue is that this converter didn't "completely isolate the tow vehicle from trailer malfunctions", as stated in the description. After a few days of heavy rain, my TV wouldn't shift out of park. I eventually traced the problem to a short circuit to the brake lights, which caused the fuse to blow. (It seems my vehicle would drive without brake lights) When I changed the fuse, it blew again right away. I disconnected this converter and again put in a new fuse and everything was fine. Then I checked the trailer plug and found it was filled with water, which was causing the short, but this unit is suppose to protect the TV from shorts. I have since reconnected the converter and have not had any problems, but I do worry about the rain.

Works with 2007 Saab 9-5 Aero. Great solution for cars like my Saab, that dole out signal power from the computer. My car monitors the tail light power draw, and advises when a lamp goes out. I suspect it would not be happy if it discovered the load of a 2nd trailer lamp in parallel. This kit requires a direct 12v line to the battery or fuse panel. Power for the trailer lights is pulled from this new 12v line, and NOT from the power going to the car tailights. The included box has "trigger" wires that tap into the wires going to the car tail lights, but those trigger wires don't draw enough power to effect the computer. Effectively, when the box "sees" power going to a tailight, it then routes power from the 12v supply line to the appropriate tail light. Ingenious!Everything you need is included. Enough heavy duty red wire is included to reach all the way to the front of the car. In my case, I found a 30 amp fuse in my dash fuse box, labelled trailer lights. Apparently, this fuse is used if the car had a factory towing package, which it did not. Very nice of Saab to include the fuse for future use! If you're not so lucky to have a spare space in your fuse panel, then the kit includes an inline fuse so you can safely connect direct to a battery post.I only had one problem during installation. When done, the left turn signal didn't work on the trailer, but everything else did. Upon inspection, I discovered that I hadn't fully crimped down on one of the supplied tap connectors. The rule is: metal tab must be squeezed fully flush with tap connector. This kit is for cars in which the turn signal is a different bulb from the running light bulb, but the trailer uses a common bulb for turn signal and running light.
