Absolutely brilliant. Sally Hogshead has completely changed the way I view my work, and working with clients. I think the Fascinate system is a game-changer, and I now apply the insights on a daily basis.

Could have been 50 pages less long , but useful indeed.

This book introduces so practical methods to pinpoint my uniqueness and strong points, which made me confident as I am right now. I'm going to stick with my Anthem whenever I speak or write.

Why is worthwhile to read this book? Because it gives the reader a guide to understanding their own "best" self (your personality at it's most fascinating) and how to recognize (and in the process: appreciate) others' "best" selves. The marketing concepts behind building a brand are correlated to people - how differentiating yourself from others and by being more of "yourself" is the easiest way to shine out. The book helps the reader to understand how each personality-type prefers to communicate and how, with this understanding, it could bring about a win-win for the reader and for others the reader interacts with - be it within an organization, to customers, or any other kind of group (i.e. family). It is about how to better understand what personality type you have and how you are shaping the picture the world has of you. Once you understand this information, you can use it as a tool to shape how you are perceived in the future (i.e. create a short statement - an anthem - that quickly describes how you are most likely to add value). The book includes a code to be able to do the online assessment test, has a lot of descriptions about the 49 identified personality archetypes and the advantages of each of these. This book enthralled me - so much so, that I also purchased the author's first book, "Fascinate: Your 7 Triggers to Persuasion and Captivation" to find out more about the research behind the concepts and to better understand the background behind the work. Highly recommended!

The title says it all, and with virtually unanimous 5 star ratings from many other readers, you're really in for a book that will make you feel more empowered than I bet you ever have been before. Even if you're too busy to read the book now, use the code to take the Fascination Assessment. C'mon, you've got 20 minutes to improve yourself, right? This isn't your average self-help book. It's not going to teach you any new skills. It'll instead give you a glimpse of how the world actually sees you at your best, and reveals which methods of fascination will allow you to captivate anyone around you. The methods of fascination you'll use are the 7 triggers of fascination. Power, Innovation, Trust, Mystique, Alert, Prestige, and Passion.Have you ever wondered why some people captivate you, and others don't? There's a good case that those captivating you are using their fascination triggers to capture your attention. Suze Orman uses the Alert trigger to fascinate with meticulous attention to detail ("Show me the money! You CAN NOT afford that! Why on earth would you spend $200,000 on a car when you're taking in $25,000 a year?"). Donald Trump will fascinate with Power ("You're Fired!"). I primarily use the Passion trigger to connect with emotion (You look GREAT in that dress! I'd never be able to pull it off! Probably because I'm a man. Is that a new wig girlfriend? I like that new wig!)What about you, though?Sally's Fascination Assessment will show you which fascination trigger you use every day to fascinate those around you, as well as the supporting trigger. It shows you exactly what you need to highlight about yourself to captivate those around you. It's the best feeling in the world to know, no matter how uninteresting or boring you may think you are, that you have the potential to captivate those around you by focusing your energy on what makes you shine.
