I have 1/4 inch wire rope on my Can Am Outlander. This cuts the rope easily, leaving a very nice, clean end ready to insert into the aluminum crimp. The max opening is 1/4", but that is all I need. Just buy this. It is worth every penny to get this good of a cut.

自転車のシフト用アウターケーブルを切断するために買いました日本製品やドイツのクニペックスは高いけど品質は良い、中華製は安いけど品質が心配、ということで悩みましたが、ダメなら返品すれば良いか、とこちらを購入しましたしっかり切断してくれます一流ブランド品と比べてどうかは分かりませんが、こちらを買ってよかったと思います

I just got this. I've made precisely one cut.I cut a 3/16 wire rope, stainless steel. It cut far easier than I expected, made a very clean cut, and based both on how it cut and how it's constructed, I think there is a very decent chance this will last a long time. I have dozens of cuts to make so I may report back.Actually, it's sort of amazes me that I can cut 3/16 with such a small tool. I didn't expect to like the short handles, and I sort of don't because the beginning of the cut is just a little inconvenient given the angle that one is starting at. But again, the two works so smoothly that I can live with it, and I love having such a small tool to carry around. So in the end that's a win, and I might try adding some pipe extensions or something of o want a little bit more leverage, although that's just a comment on how weak I am not really on how much force it takes.

少し重たいですが、ワイヤー6mm位まで軽く切断できます。安心で安全にカットできるので重宝です！

worked great. no problems with cutting 5/32 wire.
