The Hobolite Iris LED Video Light Creator Kit has its pros and cons. On the plus side, it’s super small and compact, which makes it really easy to carry around. It feels premium in hand, and the packaging was a pleasant surprise—definitely high-quality and well thought out.But here’s the thing: I’m not quite sure who this light is for. There are plenty of other lights on the market that offer more power, color-changing options, and they cost less. Sure, it’s portable, but so are a lot of other lights that do the same thing, if not better, for a lower price.So while it’s nice and has that premium feel, I’m just not sure it’s worth it when there are more powerful and versatile options out there for less money. Three stars because it’s good, but it doesn’t really stand out in a crowded market.

Super expensive as much as a bigger one less power have to be within 3 feet for these to actually be effective

This is a total darkness light it doesn’t have alot of light throw very expensive lights for what they are bigger pro model is a lot better but doesn’t have the magic lenses

It is surprising how small this light is. Yes, it is a light, despite the obvious film camera inspiration.It comes with a variety of magnetic attachments to do creative things with light. It has a diffuser dome, a "Magic Lens", adjustable lens, a fresnel lens, a usb-C cable, four color filters, and an aperture attachment. It also comes with the softest bag I have ever touched. There is a vmount plate and Allen wrench in the bag.I love that this is a usb-C device. Whenever I review something, I point out usb-C if it has it. Everything in my opinion needs to be chargeable via usb-C.The packaging is very stylish, not in an Apple way, but more like an old mysterious relic kind of way. The usb-C cable is white like an Apple product.I think I will primarily use this as a light for macro ring shots at weddings, and for other small items.Overall, I am very happy with this light's utility and happy to have another light to add to my collection.

The Hobolite Iris LED Video Light Creator Kit is seriously one of the coolest pocket sized photography lights I have seen. There are so many interesting options to play with and I love that it helps me step out of the box when it comes to lighting. Everything works well and it's easy to change up the attachments and switch it up. I do wish it came with a better way to store everything when traveling but I've been able to figure out solutions so things don't get scratched. Outside of the lack of storage, this is a really cool kit that helps you get a bit more creative while out and about.
