This is more for soft wood, plastic or anything you can do with a dremel. If you need to drill into steel then you need to spend the money for a real drill press. I would return it if I could find the parts that rattled and fell off of it. Fortunately it was cheap so into the scrap bin it goes.

I have a lot of tools I use out in the shop, but have a small workbench that I finish 3D printed items in my office. I needed something that was small but could handle a variety of projects, so I picked this up with the small milling work table and a small bench press vice. It is a fairly small footprint with a lot of uses.Don't expect a high quality product, obviously this is on the low end with a bit of play and some plastic parts but it does the job I need and I'm sure I will find even more as I use it.One problem I found, the small, clear plastic dial indicator for the depth cracked as soon as I slid it over the metal dowel it goes on to show the depth of the movement. It seems to be staying on for now, but I guess that will be one of the first things I need to design and print on my 3D printer! It comes with all the tools needed to assemble, although they are also the quality of the rest of the press. One thing I wonder about, the Allen wrench that is used the most for adjusting EVERYTHING has the Allen bit on the short end and a Phillips head screwdriver bit on the other! The end that needs to be used to tighten everything well has the Phillips head, making it pretty useless since the short end doesn't reach some of the areas needed to be accessed. No big deal, I have plenty of good Allen wrenches available.Overall, I would recommend this for anyone wanting to get into a small drill press that fits on a corner of the bench. While it has many limitations because of the design and size, it is great for working on 3D printed items.

First, the press works ok for the most part. However, there was a nut missing to tighten the depth stop. Also, the bushings that come with it are mostly worthless. One of the bushings was even broken in half.Adjusting the height is a pain because you have to use Allen wrenches to loosen three bolts. It would be much better if the holes for the bolts were threaded and the bolt heads were knobs. This would make things much easier to adjust without having to mess with Allen wrenches. The same goes for the bolts for rotating the clamp. The clamp itself isn’t sized very well and not very adjustable.Overall, the drill press works ok. But you would expect much better quality and better thought out design for what this costs.

Got this to give some use back to a old corded power drill I had laying around. Thought it would be like the old sears model drill stand. But it definitely is not as robust. The base on this model doesn't really fit any vice or even the cross slide I have. But I made it work. As a light duty drill stand this does a pretty good job. But I jokingly fitted it up as a mill. The chatter would rock the whole bench. But it was not claiming to be a mill. As a drill stand for hole saws and drill bits this isn't bad just don't expect to do to much quick adjustments in between drilling. The allen bolts are really soft metal. For the price and job it was made to do this is a really good deal. I plan to mod mine though.

This drill press adapter is very sturdy and well made. Unfortunately, I had to return it because the collar which holds the hand drill is too small to mount any of my drills. All of the adjustments must be made with Allen wrenches instead of knobs, which can get a little tedious depending on the work you are doing. I would have kept it if it would fit any of my hand drills.
