Definitely the perfect game to play with a group of friends to on your next game night. Step aside cards against humanity. The rules are straight forward and the concept is great for getting to know your friends more in depth. It puts a twist on “getting to know someone”.I love that It’s Kind of a Fun Story has a mix of raunchy cards but also family friendly cards so it can dual as a family game night game.My friends and I have played the game multiple times and there’s so many cards to go through which is great because nothing is more annoying than repeating the same questions in a game.I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who just wants an easy game that everyone can participate in because we all know how friend/family game nights are when no one can agree on a game.

Really fun game to play with friends!! I’ve played with a few different groups of people and it always starts the most fun conversations! It has some cards that are labeled “rated R” which you can easily remove from the deck for a more family-appropriate game (great for when I played with my fam!). The cards are also really high quality with cute designs and fun colors. Really loving this game!!

This game is the best getting to know you game I’ve ever played. What I loved most about this game is all the stories it pulled out of everyone playing. The game has 320 cards that include an endless variety of talking points and funny situations. I learned so much about my friends and had so much fun playing! This game was a hit and it will 100% be played during future game nights.

I don't like games, especially ones where you share personal information. But I got this out of curiosity and because my 9 year old really likes talking and telling stories. We "play" this together primarily for the conversations. It is fun to sit around and be prompted to share things in a no-stress environment.I can see how people would like this game for "getting to know you" better. Though if you are like me and don't like sharing personal info it would/could be hard to play this with others who aren't close to you already.I did appreciate that the "R" rated cards are clearly labeled. And about 2 of the "R" cards aren't terrible and the rest are rather offensively raunchy. FIRST STEP IN OWNING THIS DECK is to remove the "R" cards -- unless you want to share deeply personal information with others. DEFINITELY NOT KID FRIENDLY WITH THE "R" CARDS IN THE DECK.There are at least "NOPE" cards you can play to get someone to stop telling a story you are uncomfortable with.... though you also have to be brave enough to speak up for yourself -- so if you aren't bold like that this game may get uncomfortable even if you aren't the one sharing the story.I gave it 4 stars because if you "play it" like I do and use it just for the conversation/story telling aspects it is fun. And you can even take it on long car rides to pass the time together.
