Used on my chop saw to trim stainless steel golf shafts. Not the slimmest cut but worked well. Better than trying to cut by hand.

I bought this to cut off some 0.10" thick bed rail for a project, and I never completed even a single cut. Well, that could be because this stuff is notoriously hard to cut. When subjected to heat it hardens up like nobody's business and becomes outrageously tough. I was looking for an easier solution than working at it with the hacksaw, in the end that was the only thing that could touch it. (I have a power hacksaw that burned all the teeth off inside of 15 seconds, and barely made a mark on it.) Nobody really knows what "bed rail" is made out of, probably just some junky recycled mild steel with a whole lot of coke thrown into the melt (high carbon content).I'm keeping the abrasive blade in case I need it for something else, hopefully it works ok on regular mild steel. If you are looking at this to cut bed rail, my recommendation is to just forget it. You can't even drill through that metal unless you get a cobalt bit and turn your drill speed way, way down. The stuff is preposterously tough, on one hand that's terrific you can get such good performance from free junk. On the other hand, man, that's a tough row to hoe.

I needed 8-1/4 inch abrasive blades and was happy to find these on Amazon. They are well made, reasonably priced, and most importantly get the job done.
