Just got done installing this lamp. Install was fairly straight forward and I did not have nay issues other than making adjustments to wire length and how it needed some adjustments to install safely from an electrical standpoint.This brings me to the issue, this product does not meet UL or CE certifications and has some concerning issues out of the box. First is, the wire gauge is between 16-18ga which is too small for a 250watt power draw. It is also low quality copper strand and insulation which is to be expected as its a Chinese product.Second, the ceiling mounting is not meant for an electrical junction box like a normal ceiling light fixture should be, it is just s metal hook bracket and the wiring is meant to just go through a hole to where?? The wiring was to short as it came so I had to unwind some to get the length needed to make it to a proper junction box to wire it. when you do wire it, do not use the wire nuts provided, they are a low voltage small wire nut that does not meet any code and is a bad idea.Overall I didn't expect a high quality product and knew this would be not up to US standards but thought after the reviews it might be ok. It really is not and I am barely ok with using it and modified it to reduce its risk of fire and modified the improper wiring short comings.The retracting mechanism barely works and I doubt will hold up over time. I will probably end up replacing it somehow in the future. I should have paid more to get a better product but there are not a lot of choices as this is such a specialized niche product to begin with. Buyer beware.
