This is an attractive, well-made, all-metal fountain pen. The cap is a screw-on type instead of a snap-on. The all-metal construction is particularly helpful for the threaded cap. Screwing the barrel onto the feed/nib section is very smooth, and the threads are well-machined. The barrel exterior has a rather fine-knurled surface that feels nice in hand. The other parts of the barrel are a matte finish and comfortable to hold.The entire pen itself is black-colored, including the nib. As pictured, the extra fine nib yields much finer lines than a medium nib.I pulled out the pen converter and filled it with ink using a syringe. I was writing within seconds after forcing a little ink into the nib section with the converter screw. The writing was effortless, even on somewhat coarse paper. Even with the extra fine tip, the nib never grabbed the paper.I would have preferred that the pen included a case or slipcover for storage. Even though it is an inexpensive fountain pen, it is attractive enough to warrant protection from scratches.
