I liked that these blankets are nice and large. Heavy. Did a good job for what I needed.

The fire blankets are great for protecting against sparks or for containing small fires but they do not extinguish a fire and are not fire proof. This photo is from a fire department training with the 6x8 version of this exact blanket. When it was exposed to direct flame, it absorbed the flammable fuel and caught on fire. When exposed to a smaller wood fire, it contained the flames from spreading but did not extinguish it.

Purchased the 2 blanket set. The blankets held up well to sparks from using a grinder. Haven't used it during welding yet but expect it will do well. Two rings (brass grommets) were missing from one blanket when taking it out of the packaging and found 1 loose ring in the package. As another reviewer mentioned, the rings don't seem like they will hold up.

Like others said. The metal rings all fell off when I looped a hook onto them after using these 1 time.
