I’ve been playing guitar for almost 30 years. I’ve owned countless Wha’s and am well versed in pedals. Needed more space - replaced a CryBaby due to size. This pedal is roughly 6.5x3” and wow! Endless tones and options, very impressed. I honestly like this more than most of the major brands. You can actually get a solid volume swell better than my Dunlop. There is room to move on both volume and wha… not like most smaller pedals. If ya don’t need a Harley footrest when you use your wha then the size is very easy to get usto. When credit it due…

I got this to replace a Behringer Hellbabe that replaced a Cry Baby pedal that died. The Behringer was horribl noisy and I sent it right back. This pedal, however, was great right out of the box. I got the power supply at the same time, and tested it for about an hour as soon as I got it.Construction is solid, pedal action is positive and very stable, and, unlike the Behringer, no noise at all - very quiet, ver stable, and very predictable, which will translate to very useful.I like the controls and the two mode settings: wah/volume or wah/bypass. Switching in the first one turns on the wah with a very bright set of green LEDs which leave no doubt the effect is live. Use the toe switch again. the LEDs go off, and you are in volume pedal mode, a very handy and functional way to set it up.I did not try the wah/bypass setting, as I will probably want the volume pedal mode most of the time.I played a bit with the Q and Range settings, and there is a lot of room for experimentation here to get the kind of sounds one might want. There is a wide range of possible combinations of these two settings, pickup settings, and pickup tone settings, which give a lot of room for finding useful tones and wahs.I am also impressed by the instructions and the power supply. While not perfect English, they are much better than usual from our friends in Asia, and the power supply seems well built and useful. All in all, I am quite happy and will be looking more closely at Joyo gear in the future. I have already been looking at their small tube amps, and that may be my next buy from them.Good job, Joyo! I am quite pleased.

The Joyo Wah-II, with its 6-position frequency range switch, is able to sound like a lot of different wahs in one small pedal. I already own a half dozen wahs, and I have been able to dial in very close wah sounds with my Joyo Wah-II. I can easily switch from funky disco to Hendrix solos with the frequency range switch, and the Q (Quality) control provides even more fine-tuning.Two things to consider with this pedal -One is the size of the pedal, as with any mini-wah. So with Joyo wah set to sound like my Cry Baby, going from one to the other, the foot naturally travels very differently on the two pedals. So if you don't think the Joyo is sounding or feeling like a bigger pedal, you might need to take more time to get used to the difference in the size AND weight of the pedal itself. Two is that this pedal provides a boost when in wah-volume mode, compared to just in wah mode. By this, I mean that when you are using the pedal as a volume pedal, the output is boosted a bit. Whether or not you like this feature is up to you, but it is worth knowing when you buy this pedal. This pedal is going to go on my travel board. The small size and multiple sounds make it a great wah to have.
