2" pads work well with the ibrid nano polishing machine. These pads are less expensive than the Rupes or Chemical Guys pads and work just as well if not better!

Although these are directed toward the removal of automotive oxide coatings and scratches, I have adapted these pads for use on my wood turnings. Some of my bowls are finished with a high gloss poly or spray on epoxy. To achieve that shiny, streak-free finish, I use these to go through the buffing process.I like them because they fit the sanding and buffing equipment I already have, 2" diameter hook pads. However, the foam pad variety are a full 2 1/2" in diameter. I find them spongy enough to conform to the curved surfaces of my turnings. The various "cuts" are perfect for progressing to a mirror-like high gloss finish. I sometimes use these with a bowl sander or in a hand drill equipped with a sanding hook pad. The various polishings are achieved by increasing the firmness of the pad. I was a little concerned of scratching up the finish the first time I used them, but a gentle start, to get comfortable with the effectiveness, was all I needed. After a thorough polishing with the 3 foam pads, I apply a hard wax and use the buffing pads to bring out the luster of the wax.Once again I am not thrilled by the price of things but it is what it is...they do work well.

I know that the size is advertised but when I got them they were a bit smaller than I expected them to be. They work just fine with no issues at all and buff quite nicely just a bit small for practical use. They do great work on smaller repair/buff areas.
