One of the fondant tools arrived with the end piece removed from the handle. I put it back in place but it keeps coming apart. Another one of the tool heads came apart during use. I understand that these are plastic, but maybe make them all one piece so that they don’t come apart so easily!

Cheap.....most of the tools have fallen apart. The white end does not stay on the purple holder well. Do like needle tools those came in handy. Overall not terrible but not great

The cutting tools for the fundant were a bit flimsy.

I’m only giving this item three stars for the brush set and the entertainment value. What can I say? It’s a $9.49 set of cheap tools and, for me, the set of brushes alone was worth at least half the price of the set, and saved me time and gas money on a trip out. So I figure I’m breaking even there. The rest of the set? The two “tweezers” are super cheap metal. I have some better ones in my art room and will probably wind up sterilizing them for food use instead. I can use the little “picks” in my art room – until the handles break. I don’t expect them to last long once in use. For ALL of the plastic in this set, think cheap plastic… and then think a few steps cheaper. They are REALLY poor quality. Half the tips were off the handles of the decorating tools when they arrived and I had to push them back in. Most didn’t fit in very well, and seem likely to wobble or fall out again if I attempt to use them. At the end of the day, if you just want a seriously cheap little set of decorating tools that you’re only going to use a couple of times or hand to the kindergarteners for play-doh, then you won’t be out much by giving these a try. (Do NOT give those picks to the kindergarteners. They are seriously sharp points and deserve better handles!) If you are looking for more professional tools, though, give these a hard pass. I have a nice not expensive (but more than $9.49) plastic set by Wilton in my art studio. I wanted this cheap little set for food use only for a couple of upcoming cake plans. Did they meet my expectations? Actually, they almost did. I wasn’t expecting much considering what I paid for them, but overall these still came in somewhat UNDER my already low expectations. At least I have the brushes and the picks, and I’ve had a wonderfully eye-rolling, face-palming giggle over these, so I’m personally okay with this purchase. But I think I may just pull that Wilton set out of the art studio and give it a good sterilizing so I can move them to the kitchen, and donate this little set to the recycle bin.Okay.. it's a few days later and... I have to go out and buy brushes too, so I'm changing from 3 stars to 1. Gently washed the brushes for food use. Good thing I did it BEFORE I tried to use them! ALL of the fibers immediately fell out of one brush. Another one had several loose hairs that came out with a gentle pull -- and brought all the OTHER hairs in the brush with them. And turns out it's not just cheap plastic in the set, but the CHEAPEST METAL I've seen in a LONG time for the ferrules of the brushes. No less than TWO of them totally broke off, brush head and all. I'm not willing to use ANY of the other brushes because I'm thinking I will wind up with hairs in my work. (I might could pass it off as "cat glitter", but I don't have a cat.) I can still use the picks for at least a little while, but overall? I'll stick to product brands in future that may cost me a little more, but have a much better chance of being something USABLE. Even a kindergartener deserves better tools.
