They're great for the price. They don't dissolve as completely as more expensive brands, but they're good forpractice and learning and I love the colors of the Europe set as addition to my Lyras.

I had the opportunity to review this as part of the Amazon Vine program :)This set of iCrayon water-soluble pastels is actually a really nice little kit if you like messing about with colour and want something a bit different from your usual pencils or paints (or crayons if you're into that). The tin is lovely and you get 25 colours, plus a sharpener, palette, and brush, so you’re pretty much ready to go straight out of the box. It feels very bougie and premium in my opinion. The colours themselves are also soft and go down easily, and there’s a good mix of shades for both bold and more subtle artwork depending on your artisitc choices :DI found these work best if you use them mostly dry and just add a tiny bit of water for blending or softer edges they’re not quite as “watercoloury” as some other brands, so if you’re after that full-on paint effect, you might find them a bit stubborn to dissolve. They’re actually a bit more like oil pastels in how they go on, and you can get some nice thick, vibrant marks if you layer them (everyone loves layering right?). The included brush is alright for a quick blend, but if you’re fussy, you might want to use your own as it doesn't seem the best in all honesty. The palette is also a tad flimsy, but it does the job, and the sharpener works well enough. I wish you could buy the colours individually when you run out, but it’s set only for now from what I can see.Ultimately if you want a fun, easy way to play with colour and try out different techniques, these are a great pick. They aren't perfect and they don’t dissolve as well as some pricier brands and as mentioned the brush isn’t the best, but for the price and the amount you get, they’re a good shout for beginners or anyone who just wants to experiment a bit.★★★★☆ - Good

I must admit I had not been aware of this type of pastels before. I ordered them for my son, aged 12, who is really starting to develop a love of art.If you have not used these before then there will be a good bit of experimenting first to get the hang of it.You can simply just draw with these, or you can draw your picture and then use the brush and water to go over your drawing to give it a more authentic water colour look.It will be best to use different thicknesses of lines and shading and then add water to see the different effects.Once you get going though to do give a really excellent affect and you would not know these were not standard watercolour pictures.I should add that our colour card guide did not match the pastel colours that were in the tin. Not a big deal as such but a little confusingA nice set well presented. Recommended

I love these pastels for watercolor work. Vibrant colors, good variety of colors, easy to hold and use and excellent value for the money. Recommend!!

I got this 25 Colors Water Soluble Pastels set to mess around with some art projects, and it’s been a pretty fun ride for a beginner like me. The colors are bright and lively—25 shades give me plenty to play with, and I love how they come alive when I add water with the included brush. The set’s got a sharpener and a little palette too, which makes it feel like a complete package; I can scribble some color onto the palette, wet it, and paint away without needing extra gear. It’s super easy to switch between using them dry like crayons for bold lines or wet for a softer, watercolor vibe, and they blend nicely when I’m feeling experimental. That said, it’s not all perfect. The pastels are a bit crumbly—sometimes they leave more dust than I’d like, especially when I’m layering them dry, and the texture doesn’t always smooth out as much as I’d hope when wet. The brush that comes with it is basic; it works fine for quick stuff, but the bristles splay out fast, so I swapped it for my own after a bit. Still, for the price and for someone just starting out or dabbling as a hobbyist, it’s a great little kit—plenty of vibrant fun to be had, even if it’s not pro-level polish!
