These bowls are beautiful quality pasta bowls and I love them.

When I first saw these bowls, I wasn't sure what we were going to use them for. They were larger than I was expecting and very heavy to hold. I have since changed my mind about the use for them. They are perfect for serving up stews and thicker soups. Because of the heaviness of the bowls, they tend to retain their heat longer, which is great for eating out of them. They are also good for pasta dishes; cold or hot. The bowls are beautiful and the glaze has held up well in the dishwasher. We have not used them in the microwave yet, but you can per the manufacturer. Because of their heft, I have banged them against the sink a few times, but no chips yet, so they are well made. But, if you have arthritis or other reasons for "weaker" hands/wrists, you may want to look elsewhere. These are very heavy and can be hard to manage due to their size and weight. But if you can handle the weight, these appear to be workhorses that should last for quite some time.

These are heavy and well-made bowls. Great for pasta dishes. It is easy to spread the pasta and apply plenty of sauce. These also work as salad bowls. You can spread out your salad and apply a fine layer of dressing.

I like everything about these bowls besides the finish. If I could have picked a different color, I definitely would have. These are basically a similar diameter to dinner plates, but low sided bowl. Can be used for pastas, curries, salads, really anything you can think of, and since they’re ceramic, they can even spend some time in the oven if needed.
