These spade bits are not sharp you will burn the wood and also burn your bit. Out of 13 bits only found 3 that were sharp 1 3/8, 1 1/4 and 1 1/8. Used 1/4" on soft white pine 3/4" thick for dowl rod did not cut even the pilot point was not cutting once I got into the meat of the bit and about a 1/4" mew something was definitely wrong no chips and wood burning back bit out and the bit was tempered blue checked the rest of the bits and found what I previously mentionedQuality: PoorValue for your money: NonePerformance: LousyDurability: Won't last at allDon't waste your money.

These bits came on time and looked great in the pouch they arrived in. That was the only positive thing about them. I tried them on some pine shelves I had to drill holes for cabling to pass through. There was more burning than cutting being done. I will be returning these.
