I had a hard time deciding how I felt about this telescoping rod/reel combo from CastWisp. Let me start with the things I liked first:This kit shrinks down surprisingly far. There are quite a few telescoping pieces, so it extends way more than you would expect to be possible. Also, unlike similar mini combo sets I've seen, this one has a nearly full size reel. Several alternatives I've seen had a micro reel that just don't feel sturdy enough if you actually caught anything. It's great that the combo comes with everything just about ready to go, and it all fits nicely in the case.Now, there are a few things I'm not thrilled about. When you open up the case, there is tons of padding. I think they could have shrunk the overall storage footprint considerably by getting a better fitting case, but as it is currently there is tons of wasted space and it's a bit taller than it needs to be. It still fits well behind your car's seat, but it could have been smaller. Also, when you get the set, you may as well dump the contents of the lure box. The lures are huge and I don't expect to be catching several pound lunkers with this toy set. They could have tailored the lures a bit better to be realistic.Overall, this is a good set to store behind your seat in emergencies, but if you can plan ahead, you'll always want a real rod/reel instead of this one.

This is a great conversation mbo,rod and reel.Easy to extend. Good reaction f oom the rod. Great quality, very durable. The reel functions great. Looks awesome,and the case is great for carrying to the water. Pretty good value.
