This outerwear layer is roomy, so it is good as a top layer, and it is reflective. I am not fond of zippered pockets in the back, and I never use them. The other pockets are great: two zippered side pockets outside and two deep pockets inside. The material does stretch to allow for comfortable wear over heavy shirts or jackets. It has a high collar, another plus. The only negative for me is the zipper across the lower back.

I use this for many of my bike rides. I live in Utah so the Spring and Fall months tend to get very cold in the morning hours. This has been a great jacket for those colder mornings. It has done a great job at taking off the chill while not overheating you. I will say that this is a heavy vest (compared to the majority of the market...). So if you are thinking about using this for racing, please take that into consideration. Yes, it is a bit thicker than other more expensive vests. But you're also not paying 10 times as much for a vest that feels half of what this one weighs. It is very hydrophobic and repels water like beads of water off the back of a duck. It is also very warm and comfortable. The sizing chart is spot on! I ordered a size larger than I should have because I didn't trust it.... so.... yeah, trust the sizing chart haha. I'm planning to get one a size smaller. I should have gotten the medium. That being said, it is still an excellent fit (I just like the tighter feel for aero purposes). And I love the high neck coverage. Zipper pockets are fantastic! Literally, the ONLY thing I don't like about this vest is the weight. Otherwise, I would give a full 5 stars! Excellent cycling vest! Especially for the cost!

Let me start with a short story - I live in Wisconsin and I wear a vest from about October through April. I wear it for warmth. This is not a vest to keep you warm! That was my bad for not reading the Amazon listing more carefully. So, on to the review:The vest is well made. Seams are all nicely stitched and the material is high quality. They advertise 4-way stretch and it does indeed do just that. The stretch makes it really comfortable - it moves with you. There are two inside pockets and then three outside pockets - each side and the back - and those are zippered.This lightweight vest would be great for cycling, golf, running, etc. as stated.I rated it 4 Stars because of a problem with the main zipper. At first I thought it was broken. But after working it about 20 times I was able to get it to loosen up and work. It took me a good 15 - 20 minutes of working on the zipper to get it to work. It also "caught" by the neck, but that was easier to work out. It could have been just that zipper, but it was a problem for me. The outside pocket zippers worked just fine.

I had a Pearl Izumi vest similar to this one that I had for years and finally wore out. I wanted to get something like this and had purchased two other vests which I ended up returning as they were too thin or the sizing was off. This vest though hit all the marks. I used it on a ride that started in the mid 30’s and was quite comfortable in it. As the temps climbed, I didn’t feel like I was sweating to death or feeling like I was in a swamp. Love this vest
