I've seen these coffee makers before. Supposedly they make better coffee.The thing didn't come with any instructions like: how much coffee to how much water. I had to guess. Also, there's no filter of any kind. All the grounds are on the bottom of the pot after you pour the coffee out. I didn't want to wash the grounds down the drain or throw them in the trash. What I did do is line the sink straining basket with a large, thick layer of paper towels, swish enough water in the pot to loosen the impacted grounds and then dump them into the paper towels and wad up that mess and throw it in the garbage. And, the coffee didn't taste any better than when I made it in the electric percolator. I'm glad I didn't buy the more expensive stainless-steel pot, 'cause this one is going to the Goodwill store.

Sent back. I wasn’t as concerned with the plastic separating from the glass like other reviews. I wouldn’t say the plastic is any different quality from others I’ve had. I didn’t realize the coffee would pour through the white lid. I’m returning for a black one. I’m not a fan of the hot coffee running through plastic but I definitely don’t want super stained white plastic. I’d say this a design flaw but these often are all made the same.

Wow! I just got it and first time I used I accidentally dropped it to the floor. I was surprised how strong it is! So, the quality is awesome! 👍

This is a nice French Press for the home. I was thinking of putting it in my camping kit, but as the first one came broken, I figured it was too fragile for that purpose. I ended up using it for my home coffee making needs.I really like the glass "window" on the size where you can see how brewed your coffee is. The functionality is great as the press works smoothly and it's easy to clean.The only cons are that as I said the first one came with a broken top and the plastic is very thin so it feels pretty fragile. Also there is little insulation on the press so your coffee will not stay hot for very long...not really a problem in my house.I tentatively recommend this item, however, there are better French Presses out there for around the same price point.
