Balanced ok and useful up to 15mm chisels and 42mm planes. Need a bigger one for hardwood use. Happy overall but may get steel one also.

I use this for my wood plane and it does the job. Perfectly sized for smaller blocks. Handle is pretty thin, but no issues so far.

Before you buy this, consider what you want to do with it. It is light and small, making it good for adjusting the knife in your wooden plane, but probably not much more. This is not a carving tool or a mallet. As long as you understand that, I use it for fitting small parts together on the toys I build and am happy with it.
