Sturdy? You got it. Looks rich, you got it. I have given 3 of these as home warming gifts. It is very heavy and does not fall over as you tear a paper towel off. LOVE THIS !!!

Make sure the inner core diameter of the kitchen roll you buy isn’t too wide do that it slips on the ratchet mechanism

Probé con varios y todos eran muy inprácticos, este es el único que con una sola mano puedo despachar mi toalla, además de ve muy elegante

Funciona muy bien, debido al peso de la base puedes cortar el papel y no te lo traes. Está muy bonito

Robusto y de buenos acabados. Permite un desprendimiento de las toallas individual sin que se salga todo el rollo

Este es el único despachador de toallas de cocina que SI se queda parado al jalar el rollo. Excelente compra. Adicional, el diseño combina bien si tienes muebles de madera o metal en la cocina.

A little tricky to insert paper towel onto but all in all functions as advertised!

As described, it allows paper towels to be easily pulled and torn with a single hand. It does this with a non-adjustable friction mechanism that provides a light amount of resistance to towel spool rotation. The resistance is light enough that towels can be un-spooled without tearing when pulled smoothly, but then torn at the perforations with a slight jerk. The amount of friction provided is just right: it consistently works just as I'd like it to. Not mentioned in the description is the fact that the friction mechanism is not silent, it has a slight ratcheting sound. It's not annoying, just don't expect it to be totally silent.The base is nicely weighted and has rubber feet so that it doesn't slide on the table when a towel is torn. The finish is nice. Kamenstein also makes an under-cabinet (screw mounted) version which I also bought and like. I will write a separate review for that product.

One of the best parts of this is that the paper towel roll slides on and off over the screw on top piece. You don't even have to unscrew that to change rolls.It does what it says. You can pull of one sheet without a lot of the roll unraveling.
