Having small hands, I thought this would be the perfect everyday carry for me. I am also a newbie to fountain pens, and this pen came highly recommended. There are mostly pros here. The pen writes very smoothly. I love, love, love the gold nib with the scrollwork details. This pen also came with a gold clip (which is awesome!) and one cartridge of orange ink which is a really nice touch. I love the color which I think is a limited-edition color. The best part was the price! My only real cons are very slight. The body of the pen is very lightweight plastic and so it has a somewhat cheaper feeling in the hand. I also appreciate the cases that come with Pilot's fountain pens. Like I said, the pros far outweigh the cons. I think this is an ideal pen for newbies, like me, or anyone who appreciates a smooth-writing pen that is travel-friendly.

Super pretty and I love the orange ink that it comes with. These cartridges it comes with do typically dry out fast if you don't constantly use them, so keep that in mind.

So in fairness this pen if you are familiar with the brand is probably fine. This is my first experience with this brand and so didn’t really know how cramped my fingers would be when writing. I don’t have large hands or fingers by any means so I was shocked despite having relatively small hands the feel was still quite cramped on my grip. Another thing I found humorous was how without the clip it looked very much like a tampon applicator. But gosh the ink flow- great! Writing quality- excellent.

I should have read the description more carefully, but what a wonderful surprise this thing actually came with ORANGE color ink. Pretty excited about that.
