If you're like me, you probably bought these saddles because they say "Country of Origin: Japan" on the listing. It's well known that Japanese guitar parts (from companies like Gotoh, for example) are super high quality, and that's why I was willing to shell out the money. Unfortunately, these saddles do not appear to be Japanese-made. They say "Made in China" right on the packaging, in fact.I contacted the seller, and in all fairness – they were responsive. However, their answer perplexed me. I'll copy and paste it here: "Hello, the product you purchased is produced in Japan. That's right, we won't lie. However, since we ship the package from China, all products, as well as the outer packaging sent to Amazon, need to be labeled with 'make in China'. We hope you can understand"I don't know about you, but that answer doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty sure that's not how things work – the country of manufacture has nothing to do with WHERE the item was physically mailed from...As for the saddles themselves, they were alright. The machining was pretty good, although the corners were REALLY sharp – like, sharp enough that if you hit the edge while strumming hard, you'd probably cut your hand. I suppose there's a reason saddles are normally rounded off on the edges. The rollers do seem to work well, although there is a small amount of rattle (I'm guessing due to tolerances).I'll be returning these saddles, but I probably would have kept them for a future project if they were $15 cheaper. However, at nearly $30 I cannot justify them – you might as well purchase Gotoh or Hipshot saddles, or something with verifiable quality. The seller (Kaynes) needs to get their listings straightened out – it's misleading and dishonest. If these are really made in Japan, then label them as such...but I think we already know the answer.

The height screws are a little long but it doesn't bother me. Some sharp edges but nothing that you'll get cut from.Seem to work just fine.

Solid, help tuning issues. However they do appear to affect the tone, making it brighter. If they made these not in brass for the roller I would go with those if you don’t want it to affect tone.
