This wouldn’t program to my 2001 Chevy Venture van. Package arrived in good shape, the batteries checked as good and the suggested website was quite clear but apparently the the channel was not correct. I couldn’t make any kind of connection. Returning to look for something with correct frequently.

Bought for 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette. The programming instructions were online so I printed them out and began the task of programing the FOB. The instructions are not hard to understand but there was an error in step 2. Step 2 tells you to remove the MALL/BCM PGM fuse. I have a MALL fuse and a BCM PGM fuse so I removed them both. My car would not go into programming mode and customer service was not able to help. After about and hour, I decide to experiment and replaced the MALL fuse. BINGO!!!. the car went into programming mode and the FOB programmed just like it should.

It took a bit of fuss to get the car to program properly (the problem was with the car, not this fob). Once accomplished, this remote works very well.

This Fob works very good as a replacement, but here are a few tips which may help someone else out who has a 2000 Pontiac Montana. Please note that these instructions are unique to this model and year van:1) Make sure all your doors are CLOSED before attempting to enter program mode ESPECIALLY the power sliding door. If you have an older Montana, you know how sometimes the door will close but the van will "Alarm" if you attempt to drive and the door registers as "not closed". You can easily disable this using the overhead controls, but in this state the FOBs will never program. So that is tip #1.2) After you remove the BCM fuse, get in the van, close all the doors and insert the key and turn it to the ACC position (toward you), WAIT until the computer chimes stop. If you do not the computer cannot be placed in program mode.3) After the chimes stop, turn the key to the OFF position for a second, and then turn it back to the ACC position (toward you). You will hear one "quick" chime.4) Open and close any door. You will hear a quick chime when the door is closed. You are now in program mode.5) Press both lock and unlock buttons on the first fob. You will hear 1 chime. Continue holding the buttons. You will eventually hear either hear a chime and the locks will actuate or you will hear the van horn and the locks will actuate. It could take some time, 14 seconds or longer. The fob is now programmed.6) Repeat step 5 for any additional fobs. I found while repeating step 5 that some fobs took longer than others. The vendors fob works great and I am really pleased that they offer such a great replacement product.
