Product comes ready to use out of the box, even had a coin battery already installed. Pairing took 2 minutes from the incredibly simple instructions on their set-up website. Now I have a full set of keys!

They say to switch the Key On to Position II (Dashboard Lights on and Bing noise) The trick is when they say off, they mean Position I (Which is 1 click on after inserting the key in the lock. This unlocks the steering column but no lights come on) you will switch from Position II to Position I (Not all the way off) and back to Position IIFor my 1999 Accord, it is these steps (Yours may vary!)Enter the vehicle and close all doorsRepeat the following steps A B C THREE times (use the same remote each time for this step, an unprogrammed remote can be used)A. Turn ignition to the ON position (II) (Lights on the dashboard) - Wait 1 second.B. Press the lock button on the remote you are programming (Press for 1 second)C. Turn the ignition to the OFF position (I) - Wait 1 second.(ONE CLICK BACK on the ignition switch / Not all the way back to where you can remove the Key)**REPEAT STEPS ABC THREE (More) TIMES *** (A total of 4 times)Turn ignition to the ON position (II)Once more, using the same remote press the LOCK buttonAt this time the door locks will cycle confirming that the vehicle has entered programming mode.Turn the ignition to the OFF position (I)Remove the key, get out of the car & lock it manuallyNow use the now programmed remote to unlock.Check the Trunk by pressing the trunk button and waiting for it to open

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Worked perfectly, and so easy to program!Wow, what a bargain too! I was so reluctant to program it after I received it, because theinstructions said that both remotes have to get programmed at the same time (my original AND the one Ihad just purchased). So I was like, what if I screw it up and they both end up not working.I was scared because the instructions to program it seemed a little tough/tricky as each of the 5 or 6steps had to be done inside of 5 seconds. So I hand wrote the instructions more clearly and proceeded to program it one Saturday afternoon as I felt brave enough to try it. And within a few mins, I had the thing working perfectly! I was so thrilled, as I saved a bunch of money! And for people who live in the Cerritos area, Cerritos Acura will make a duplicate key for around $36.They are able to give this low price because they don't have a fancy key making machine, they do it theold-fashion way, by hand punching it out. It took like 15 mins. but who cares, it was half the price of all the other dealers in the area. My back-story is that I had just bought this Acura for my son and it only came with one key and one remote, so I definitely wanted a backup of each since it is so easy to misplace keys as we all do. So my mission was to find a way to do it as cheap as possible, and thanks to the Internet, I was successful!

***UPDATE***Months later after buying this product, the remote still works just fine. I have to say though, it does not work from far away like the original remote that came with the car does. All in all though, its a great replacement if you don't want to overpay the dealer for an OEM one.Original Review :I received this remote today and it came with programming instructions. Even though I had already researched how to program this remote to my car, it was nice to see that instructions come in the package. Programming took less than a minute. This remote does not look exactly like the OEM replacement one, but it looks exactly like the one in the product picture. I needed this remote because the car I recently bought (2002 Honda Accord) did not have any spare keys and the remote was really worn, so I wanted a spare key along with a spare remote. I called some dealerships around my area and they all wanted $90.00+ for the remote alone. This remote was less than $20.00 (4.5 times less than what the dealership wanted) and it does the same that the OEM remote does. If you're looking for a replacement remote for your car, this is the product for you. Please note that it does not have any Honda branding (which is fine with me, as long as it works). I will post an updated review in a few months and tell my experience with this remote.
