Great little dongle. I use it with my quad-driver headphones.Pros:1- It works2- It has a great battery life3- It worksCons:1- when plugged in to charge it looses connection to my device2- after turning it on, be sure to leave the headphones out of your ears or the power on voice yells directly through your ear drums.3- after turning on, be sure to make a phone call without your headphones in your ears, the volume on calls resets to full and you'll go deaf after a few of those calls until you figure it out.4- the clip is very loose and will become detached from your clothing when touched with the lightest of glancing blows, if not protected under many layers... or you could modify it with a magnetic clasp of you're handy enough to not ruin it when cutting/breaking it off.Good luck. Recommended for the tinkerer, not for the faint of heart or thinly clothed.

I absolutely love this little Bluetooth receiver! As a huge audio nerd, I can’t stand being tied down to Bluetooth-specific headphones. In fact, I use a Sony phone just for the headphone jack. Initially, I’d run with my giant headphones and phone stuffed in my pocket, but as my training got more intense, that setup became impractical. Now, I rock this compact beauty paired with Koss Portapros, all connected to my Garmin watch. It’s fabulous! The buttons are easy to navigate while on the go, though I occasionally slip into the play/pause button—an easy fix, but a bit annoying. The battery life is impressive, and I’ve only had a few low-battery alerts. I remember one run when the charming British voice announced, "low battery" for 15-20 minutes. While I appreciated the heads-up, it cut over my audio every 30 seconds, driving me up the wall. Yet, I still put up with it because I absolutely need my music and running guidance!Overall, this little device is a game-changer for anyone looking to keep their audio options open without being limited by Bluetooth headphones.

So this solved a dumb problem I had been having with earbuds. I go through a pair of Bluetooth earbuds about one per year. Unfortunately, newer models have started removing buttons. I miss my skip forward/back buttons, and holding the volume up/down for 2 seconds to skip was frustrating me. I tried a couple of earbuds that still came with all 5 buttons (skip/volume/pause), but found battery life was lacking and the signal strength was weak, not to mention the less than perfect sound. This thing solves all of that. The battery lasts a long time, Bluetooth stays connected even thru exterior walls of my house, and it has all 5 buttons! I plug cheap corded earbuds in when I want to listen, but I also plug a cord in from my DJ mixer and can easily add music from my phone when I am working. I can't recommend it enough. It works perfectly.

I’ve only hade this for about 6 hrs at this point. Had to write a review though, because I can use my favorite wired headphones with bt now. Sound quality is great. Bt range is probably around 20 ish feet, depending on how many walls are between you and your source. If you go beyond two walls you’re gonna lose connection, but for $15.00 what do ya want. Connection is easy, and this thing is tiny. So far I’ve used it with my ath m30x, m50x and art550z headphones, and they all sound great.👍🏻 i really don’t think you could expect any more for $15.00. Just wished I would’ve know about them sooner.Update: so I’ve had a week with this little guy. I still have to say for the price, I couldn’t be happier. Some day I’ll upgrade to a more expensive bt adapter, probably with better range and so on. For now this meets my needs and is still better than I thought it would be. Battery last on average 6 hours and that’s with me turning the volume all the way up 90% of the time. Very good audio quality, the only thing that would’ve made it perfect at this price is a bit more bt distance. Once again, ITS ONLY $15.00 DOLLARS!!!Update 2: I got the itch for something higher as far as bt adapters go, so I researched and pulled the trigger on the es100 mk2. Here’s the thing while it has an amp built in for higher volumes and a fancy app and a bit more bt range. I still like this little guy for its simplicity. No adjusting any settings, while I know some people like that. I like to just plug in my headphones and go. Honestly the sound quality of the es100 is better, but only a bit better and the app kinda gets in the way. If I’m exercising with the es100 I find myself constantly looking at the app and adjusting the sound and checking battery percentage and source/analogue volume etc. with the 15.00 one, once I plug my headphones in I’m done with it. It sounds good, maybe could be a little louder on some older songs, but it definitely gets the job done. I don’t think the es100 warrants $55.00 more. Try this $15.00 guy out, I think you’ll like it.👍🏻

Background: I listen to music at the gym for 45-120min, 6 days a week. I bought a Vaas Morph (probably a brand you've never heard of) shaped exactly like this 4.5 years ago because I got sick of having my iPhone strapped to my upper arm, and my gym bag is always somewhat nearby. I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd so I could carry both and then swap between the two when a battery died. Fast forward 2 years and one of them died. I tried to find another to no avail. I bought an Avantree Clipper and a Noisehush that is once again shaped just like these. The Clipper sounded far and away better than any of the ones shaped like this, but it was rather delicate and the clip broke within 6 months, followed by the whole thing exploding (possibly a weight dropped on it) a month or so later. The noisehush just stopped working last week.So I figured I'd try one of these.Looking at the listing it's not initially apparent that the black one of these differs not only in color, but also the "guts." It has a better BT chip (one that supports AAC, which is kinda rare) and a slightly larger battery. Now, I've only had this for a week, so I have no idea about longevity. If/when this dies I'll update the review to reflect that - assuming it's still available. But for now, just know that its initial charge has lasted a week (roughly 8.5 hours) thus far (more than any of my other ones last) and its sound is at least on par with the Clipper, if not better. (Meaning it's the best one of these I've ever used as far as sound quality goes.)Now, it's no W1/Airpod experience when it comes to BT connectivity. If I wander more than 20ft from my bag containing my iPhone X (in a VERY electronically noisy environment with LOTS of people using BT headsets) it will stutter - frankly worse than some of the other ones I've used - and takes longer to re-connect and start playing again. But once I'm back within 10 ft or so, it's been rock solid. Also, it seems to have an issue between songs slightly cutting off the first second or so. I don't know why that is, but it does tend to happen. I've grown used to it now however.Regardless, chances are good I will buy another one of these if this holds up for another month or so (or sooner if my old Morph dies sooner.) It just sounds soooo much better than the others.Other tidbits: The headphone jack is on the opposite side from the other 3 shaped like this that I've owned. Just something to adapt to I suppose.I've used the older ones with 2 different sets of Skullcandy Fix headphones, both of which have since died. My current set is a Westone Beta (High Adventure.)I prefer this setup to the now-pervasive behind the neck all-in-one BT headphones. Specifically the cable bothers me on squats and bench.Edit (Dec 2019): I bought a 2nd one of these shortly after I wrote the above (partially because it went on sale.) So I've been using both (in rotation so one is always fully charged) since then. I am clearly not overly careful with my gym bag because I broke one of these at some point. It's still fully functional as I just broke the bottom 1/3 of one of the clips. This means it simply doesn't stay clipped to my shirt as well and I have to be a bit more careful with its placement as the edges are sharp. But honestly I don't think about it much.I now store them in a hard case when I'm not using them to hopefully prevent further damage like this.At this point battery life still seems to be what I would hope for. Sound is the same as well. I will say that the low battery warning and the point where it powers off tend to be identical - meaning it just shuts off with no warning. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than the loud annoying beeps that would go off for 5+ minutes before shutoff that other brands tended to have. It's just different. But honestly, beyond that, zero complaints. The things just blend into the background of my workouts - which is exactly what I want. Even if they died tomorrow I'd consider it money well spent and buy two more.
