This is exactly what a person would hope for. Thoughtfully made and strong!

I don't know why it has high ratings. This vacuum looks cheap and doesn't hold a candle to Rigid or Craftsman vacuum cleaners. I own several types of vacuums and this is the worst one. When you put thenoise muffler on it even has less suction. I own a shop and am a General contractor. I have many, many tools so I know what I'm talking about. Spend a little more money and buy a professional grade vacuum so you wont be disappointed.

Let me just say, "Wow!" I mean, this vacuum is powerful! 6.5 Peak horses are amazing, and I think this can clean the dirt that is under the floorboards if I leave it in the same place long enough. Pair that motor with a 15-gallon capacity, and this is the best shop vac I have ever used. That capacity is so huge that it's hard to imagine that amount until you see it in person. For the power and size, the setup is really easy. Click the four wheels onto the bottom, insert four screws to attach the hose, and you're good to go.The motor is extremely powerful; it can clean up sawdust that is 4-5 inches away from the hose without any issue. This can be really handy when trying to clean in hard-to-reach areas or to be able to clean the compacted dirt that is hard to get with other means. There is also the blower mode, this vacuum can blow with just as much force as it can suck.A great benefit for me is that the hose is the same size as the port for my table saw and router table, which helps keep the space clean. This really helps with the speed at which I can finish projects and how clean the cuts are because I am able to see clearly without the dust blocking anything. Not to mention that the color scheme also blends perfectly, which makes it look really cool.A big concern with this high-capacity vacuum was how heavy it would become, especially with the ability to clean up liquid, making it difficult to empty. This concern was addressed in the design because this has a drain on the bottom, so I can turn it on and the vacuum will drain without having to lift it.I love the short cord idea for the power cord. This is not a really light vacuum, so when trying to carry it to the next location to dump or use it, tripping over the power cord is a real possibility in most cases. This vacuum has taken another pain point and turned it into a feature to love. There is a nice short power cord that has an attachable extra-long extension cord that has an amazing 35 feet; this cord has a pigtail lock to keep it plugged in until you’re done. This cord can even be used on other tools around the house as well. This is an amazing little vacuum that has taken care of so many things that irritate me with other vacuums; it has even fixed complaints that I have not even realized yet!

I have an elaborate woodworking shop in my basement with two central dust collectors, as well as assorted wet/dry vacs from various manufacturers, and this one is the top, and now my most favorite. Why? Several things. It is a step above in engineering. Any one of them, you may say, so what is the big deal? But altogether it really means something. It has not only great vacuum sucking pressure, it is engineered so that you can remove the input filter, and place your hose in there, and get great blowing action as well. I mean real blowing action as in it clears out my entire two car garage in only a minute or two, that kind of action. The attachments clasp on to the side of the vac body in a unique fashion. They clip in so to speak, so they don't get lost while using it, and yet are instantly handy when you need them. My other large shop vacs all have the round lip sticking up from the base which does a so-so job of holding onto them. Invariably, I wind up parking them somewhere, and then have to remember where they were put when I need them. Okay, so I have a pile over in a corner. It would be nice if they were engineered like this one so I wouldn't have the pile.Another really nice feature is that the cord is only about 2 feet long. Say what? Hold on, why that is so nice is they give you a separate very thick, well made 35-foot extension cord, that you can use for anything including the vac. What that does is avoid the cumbersome trying to wrap a long vac cord every time. I find winding an independent cord much easier, than trying to navigate the winding on the so-called clips to hold the cord on typical vacs.It is incredibly powerful, yet not that loud. I don't need to wear ear protection while using it. You can see the attachments in the description and they work really well. Oddly enough, I am in the middle of a whole garage remodel including putting in an electric hoist in the ceiling and up onto the storage shelf, and I have wood shavings everywhere; this took care of them in short order. The gray and yellow kind of stands out also. At first, I thought I wasn't crazy about the color combination, but now, knowing the heart of what this vac is, and does, it has quickly become my favorite, and I think the color is just as wonderful. I guess you can tell, I am in love with this vac. It is staying in my garage, because the little one I have for it doesn't cut the mustard when the going gets tough. Highly recommended.

Wow, does this thing have STRONG suction!! This 12 Gal, 6HP Shop Vac is well-built, solid and well-designed.Assembly was a breeze. This thing is equipped with some very nice casters that provide one of the better, more solid bases than I have seen on other models. The only drawback that I see is that only one of the casters has a lock on it. I think a better design is to have casters on opposite corners both have the ability to lock. I will say that it's pretty tough to tip this Shop Vac over with these sturdy casters and its stout design.I really like this hose. The 2 1/2" hose is 8' long and attaches firmly into the Vac. with a locking mechanism. My first impressions are that this is a nice, well-built hose and is very rigid . This size is great for me. Not only is it long enough to reach several areas of my shop (I have decided to house it under my workbench "island" in my shop) where the 2 1/2" diameter hose connects perfectly with my dust collection attachments on my Router Table, Bench Disk / Belt Sander Combo, Table Saw and my Miter Saw Stand. This was a real problem with my old 6 Gal well-known named Shop Vac. The hose was too short and the end gizmo for attachments did not "mate" with any of my bench power tools. I had a Jerry-Rigged system set up.The attachments are fairly standard ones. Two extensions, a Narrow Crevice Tool, a Floor Tool w/ Squeegee Attachment, a Smaller Floor Type attachment that I think they are referring to as a "pick-up tool" in the description, a filter and a bag and a few other useful things.I LOVE the way the cord attaches. This is my BIGGEST peeve with Shop Vacs - THE CORD STORAGE. This ingenious design has a pigtail on the vac and then a separate 35' cord that attaches to the pigtail and then is held in place by a simple "locking" mechanism. No "reels" to get jammed and no having to wrap the cord around the Vac when storing. VERY Nice FeatureThere is a pretty good sized drain plug in the bottom of the Vac. When this thing is full, this will definitely come in handy with a 12 Gallon capacity to get rid of.Another thing that I noticed and you will to almost immediately is the "muffler" cover on the air exhaust port. I pulled it off to see if that had any effect on the unit while it was operational. It was SIGNIFICANTLY LOUDER. It was a relief to my ears when I reattached it. I doubt that I will ever have a need to run it without this unless I am using the "suction" in reverse. This is a very well-built Shop Vac that competes with any of the Big Names that I have used. For the price, you can't beat the strength of the suction and pick-up power and the well-engineered design of this Shop Vac. It's UNIVERSAL HOSE SIZE matches up with just about every accessory that I have from other Shop Vac's that I have owned.I would recommend and purchase this product. It is a Solid Value for the Money and is a 5-Star Product.
