I’m not sure how other parents were able to wash the colors off the side of the street, but I really have been struggling to get the “chalk” out of the concrete in my backyard. It’s been about two weeks and finally the color is starting to fade from all of the rain we’ve had recently. I’m going to stick to traditional chalk going forward.

I am not sure how I feel about these. On one hand I love them for how well they write/draw but on the other hand I am disappointed in them. They are very smooth and can even blend the colors together. Bright vivid colors. Bit disappointed cause they are not like chalk and aren't the easiest to put into the holders. The included eraser just smudges the chalk at best. Water will remove them with some effort. Reminds me more of a chalk/oil pastel. The holders are nice as they keep you hand clean and prevent the sticks from breaking. The were a bit tricky to install.. mainly cause my end piece was inside not outside like the instructions on the product page showed. I ended up just carefully sticking it in from the tip and pressing into the end piece and it worked perfectly fine.Smooth, vivid colors make these perfect for display boards and more that you want to have nice clear bright words and drawings. Not sure how kids will feel about these as they aren't very easy to erase - or finger smudging which is a bonus for sign boards!. Definitely not something I would used on sidewalk as they are size of standard chalk not sidewalk chalk and the concrete would eat these up. Overall, nice set that be perfect for things like sign boards or anything you want bright vivid colors. They are truly dustless and no mess!

The colors of this set of 24 chalk sticks are very vibrant, more akin to a pastel crayon than standard chalk. They do not create dust when used, however the consistency of these sticks is much thicker than chalk with a creamier texture. They show up bright and blend very much like an oil pastel. The box says they are "water chalks" but the renderings are hard to remove. The enclosed eraser doesn't touch them; they actually left an odd residue on the felt surface.Each stick has to be loaded into the holders; the holders arrive empty, the chalk in a separate box and there is a steep learning curve.*LOL* I finally mastered it but not without a few tears (mine). We doodled while I was inserting the chalks and based on that experience, I have decided these are best for our art supply cupboard under supervision. I am not comfortable turning the kids loose with something that might be hard to clean off surfaces.For curiosity's sake, I tried placing regular chalk in the holders. The diameter of standard chalk is just a smidgeon smaller than the "water" chalk and slides out of the holder (and breaks. More tears. Theirs.) if it is held at a downward angle. So, if we wanted to continue to use these holders, we would have to buy more of this specialty chalk ... which is pricey for chalk. I dislike single use plastic anything, so just going to call this one a learning experience, use it gleefully, and call it a day.

These crayons are so soft the erasers perfect sometimes it’s hard to get it off the color varieties amazing and they are so vibrant and they show the color that they are
