The product arrived without any damage and cosmetic blemishes.Although I have ordered a fine nib I have received a medium nib.It's working fine although I still prefer fine nine.

I arm using this great new pen every day. While at first glance it looks plastic, the feel is definitely aluminum. The vendor eases prompt and provided exactly what was advertised.

La pluma escribe bien, rápido y con sensación confortable de escritura. Se siente de plástico aunque se ve metálica. Muy ligera.

I love this pen. This was the first fountain pen that I ever bought due to NUMEROUS positive reviews on blogs, youtube videos, amazon, the fountain pen network and all over the web and I can see why. I don't have a humongous collection now (only 14 or so pens) but of all of my pens it is one of my favorites, if not the favorite of all of them.The Lamy Al-Star always writes smooth for me no matter what the ink, or how long it has/has not been written with. I left it alone for a month, came back and it started up instantly. Any inks (wet or dry) that I use in here never seem to have a problem, and for that reason I tend to test inks in this pen for consistency and quality.The pen is very durable and smooth for its price range and even seems to beat out a few in the class above. This is an excellent beginners pen as many have mentioned and functions the exact same as the Lamy safari and Lamy vista. However, its aluminum body is a lot nicer than its plastic counterparts and is sure to turn heads. This pen worked so well that I decided to purchase a vista (again works the same way) just to have a low cost demonstrator (clear pen).I would encourage every beginner (or any veteran) to take a second look at this pen for its low cost in the fountatin pen world and quality of writing. Feels good in the hand and makes a great addition to the collection.
