I enjoy writing with this nib but depending on the ink you use it can write very wet so it can take some practice.

This broad nib has changed my writing experience of my Lamy Safari. The pen glides over the paper. It’s a must buy for pen lovers especially those who sign a lot. Try to use Lamy crystal ink with this nib.

This nib is smooth. It just glides over paper without any kind of feedback, which I love.I bought it to replace the Medium nib that my new Al-Star came with, both to get the line width I prefer and to spiff up the appearance of the pen. It delivered on both fronts.The nib does look different in person than in the item photos. It seemed satin-matte black in the product photos above, but it's high-gloss metallic in real life. It's hard to photograph metallic objects, but I tried my best. The nib surface is highly reflective. If you look at it straight on, it looks black, but the highlights look graphite colored.It looks really nifty and does a great job writing. A great nib.
