In the pursuit of auditory perfection, the acquisition of clear switches for my keyboard has proven to be a symphony of meticulous craftsmanship. The magistral articulation of each keystroke, characterized by a resonant clarity, is nothing short of an auditory masterpiece. These switches elevate the typing experience to an ethereal plane, where every tap is a melodic note contributing to a harmonious composition. The sheer beauty of the sound emanating from these switches transcends the mundane, transforming the act of typing into a refined and captivating performance. In the realm of mechanical keyboards, the clear switches emerge as virtuosos, offering an unparalleled auditory delight that befits the discerning connoisseur.

I bought the Gateron Silver Swtiches and these switches are buttery smooth and super light...like feather light. I got these to mainly game on and not really for typing. Lets just say this review is probably the most I have typed in a while.I was using Cherry MX Reds when I decided to make the switch to these because I liked the linear feel and wanted to get these because of the shorter actuation distance. (I thought it would turn me into a pro gamer...haha)Dont get me wrong these switches are awesome, but they just aren't for me.If you have heavy hands and like to rest your fingers on the keys like I do you might get a little frustrated because even the lightest press on a key is going to actuate it.Who knows though....maybe I'm just the odd man out.

so ive been on a testing spree with switches lately, ive done the gateron browns, blacks, blues, reds, and these silvers now.out of all those, i prefer the reds for silence and ease of press. browns are more leaning toward reds in a sense but are more click-y than reds, the blues and black to me are pretty much in the same ball park as the Silvers, with the silvers being more click than blacks and browns and brown coming in behind reds.blue is also most click than all the others imohope this helps you:)

First off for everyone saying "no pins", that's how these are supposed to work. They're optical switches, you need an optical switch PCB like the GK61. These don't work with standard mechanical keyboards. It clearly says optical switch in the title, don't blame the company because you can't read. With that out of the way, these gateron opticals are probably the most reliable and smoothest switches on the market. Since they can't fail due to corrosion or the metal leaf bending / failing. These are on par with Razers new hunstman TE keyboard using their optical switches. But that costs near $200 where a pack of these + an GK61 is around $100. I've bought the clears for a great linear experience but I'm also going to pick up the browns and some blues so I have a complete collection.

I picked up a set of silver and yellow for a couple gk61 optical boards I'm using and honestly these are amazing. I tried both switches out of the pack at first and found them to be a bit scratchy and clacky but after lubing all the switches and using decent PBT oem and sa profile caps I can 100% say these are the BEST switches I've ever used. I'm purely a linear switch kind of person so I can't say anything about the tactile ones yet but these are AWESOME.
