No more dripping water. I regret myself not looking into this option for 10 years...

I used two of these valves to replace the old compression style valves. The trick is to take out the seats so they do not crush the ceramic surface. The thread size is the same, and there's enough room in the valve body to allow for proper operation. You will also need to changeout all the trim since these are about an inch shorter than your old compression valves. I have a water softner and used to have to change the rubber washers every six months. These ceramic valves should last for at least 20 years, they operate very smoothly, and give the tub a more modern look. very happy so far. I recommend buying the pfister remodel kit (it's like $50 on amazon) and it includes the old compression valves that are the same length as the new ceramic valves. You will use the new diverter valve (i don't believe there is a ceramic diverter, will update description if I'm wrong) and all the new valve handles and trim. this is way cheaper than buying the handles, trim, and new diverter valve separatelythis is the trim kit that you will need if you are replacing the old long compression valves:http://amzn.com/B000CO0S74make sure to put 3-4 layers of teflon tape around the threads of all 3 valves to make sure you don't have any leaks but don't let the Teflon overhang the openings on the sides so if a piece gets cut off, it won't go inside valve mechanismI think it's funny that all the plumbing comment boards have plumbers telling you that you need a new valve body (which involves pulling out tubs and/or knocking out walls...
