The hoop works great, the massaging bumps actually hurt and it bruised by stomach, I just wanted something to do in the house for the cold winter, I will keep trying it but I might put one of my padded shirts on so I don’t keep bruising.

Just bought this hoop. So far it's great! I get a good workout every time I use it. My daughter loves it as well.

I bought this hoop a week ago. I started dieting and exercising back in April and lost 37 lbs but hit a plateau. This was using My Fitness Pal to track calories and walking 10K steps a day.I have been using this hoop everyday and lost 3 lbs in one week, breaking my plateau. Here is what I do:#1: Hoop 30 mins in the morning when I wake up.#2: Track my calories in My Fitness Pal.#3: Hoop 30 minutes at night about an hour before bed time.The first few days I had a lot of starting and stopping and was doing 30 mins throughout the day. Once I got to day 3 I could keep it going for the full 30 mins. Barefoot on carpet works best for me. By day 5, I started my hour routine and it’s flying by.If I hit a plateau again, I will start alternating this and walking. I have 100 lbs I want to lose.

I’m a 52 year old overweight nurse. My back hurts constantly from standing on my feet for 12 hour shifts. I purchased this for that middle age spread. It is fun to use, but it is also strengthening my back muscles. It takes some practice, but I get better at it everyday. I put the music on, and it’s like being a kid again. I have no waistline, but this is burning fat much more than sit ups or leg lifts. I urge people to try this. My endurance at work has improved, and I actually look forward to using it. Make sure you get the magnet lock. It’s so easy to use. I very seldom write a review, but it this product is well worth buying. Also, the seller is great to keep in touch if you have any problems or questions.

I had recently purchased a one of these from a different manufacturer and sent it back, feeling discouraged. I decided I would try one more time and picked this particular item because it seemed like it had good reviews and the seller gave really good information about the product.First, the packaging? So neat and clean!Everything fits perfectly into molded trays, and there is a sticker inside the lid to remind you that there are 4 extra pieces "knots" under the tray.One of the instructions says to remove some of the sand in the weight, which was super easy. I saved it just in case I wanted a heavier weight later, before I add water. (A lOT of thought has gone into this!)The locks were tough, but the instructions did mention that and gave some tips. One opened easily, the other was stubborn. The directions said to use a solid object to push, so I used the edge of the table, reversed, reversed again, etc, for about 4 times, and the mechanism opens easily. Of course, you don't actually NEED the lick, it's just a good feature to have. I like the additional security it gives.As for use ..It was so easy! I am really terrible at hula hooping normally, but this was great! The last one I had didn't say that it had to fit the waist snuggly and not droop - I was stunned that I didn't need to use the extra knots!!!! It made me feel good before I even started!Anyhow, the weight glides easily around the track, and I actually shortened the lead cause my cats were eyeballing the weight a little too closely. The weight itself is made of super sleek silicone, which is nice, and the cool, pale aqua is very serene feeling.I only just started using this, but so far I really really like it.
