The clarity is amazing. I am welding nicer welds now in both Stick and MIG. Get this Lens.

La descripción del producto no coincide con las características del mismo físicamente ahí dice tener tinte azul mientras que el envíado tiene color naranja en el momento de aplicar soldadura

Product Reviewed: RilonWelds AutoDarkening replacment glass at $63 currently shows unavailable?TL;DR; Excellent performance; includes cover glass; grinding safe; Excellent upgrade to a favourite old helmetI’ve been welding for close to 50 years as a hack and have old gear that needs upgrading.I’m reviewing several of these devices. The RilonWeld product are excellent value and includes cover glasses and superior optics.In my case I fitted this to an old helmet “pipeline” style without a flip up shade since there is a grinding mode for this shade. One big surprise to me is that my 45 year old helmets just became my new favourites as the lighting and reflections from this “pipeline” style helmet seems much better than the modern sugar scoop designs.This version has a replaceable battery and is solar powered presumably charging the LiIon Batteries. Some units do not have replaceable batteries but I don’t know if this is an advantage or not. The kit includes two cover glasses which I really needed to do the install.I welded MIG and Stick for a couple of hours before this review to verify these products. I found the whole experience to be the most comfortable I’ve had in a long time. The RilonWeld was the best optical performance I have seen so far. The tint makes the weld pool visibility better than others for what I was doing my tests with. I’m very impressed.One gotcha is that I could not install any of these auto darkening elements directly with the hardware on my helmet. This will be a common problem with all these relatively thick elements. However it wasn’t that difficult to fabricate a new plastic retaining spring for my two helmets I was upgrading. The view on these is a bit more restricted than the full 4 1/4” x 2” glass but I didn’t notice this at all in practice.Overall if you have a favourite old helmet you might find you end up with an overall superior result as I did compared to a full auto darkening designed helmet.5 Stars no hesitation on a recommendation here.How I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. I had bought a welding helmet when I retired that had an auto darkening feature, but while it worked well outside when there was more light on the work, but was not dark enough inside. I order this one because it was adjustable. It does what it says and is just perfect for my use. I recommend this lens whole heartedly.
