I'm very happy with this receptacle. Build quality is excellent which is typical for Leviton and the blade pressure is excellent.

Used this single 20 amp outlet to replace the 15 amp duplex socket. Contacts on the 15 amp cannot handle the demands of a 20 amp service. To prevent two simultaneous users at an rv site, the single outlet restricts use to one paying customer.

Couldn't find the 20amp version of this particular receptacle at any of my local stores. Item arrived exactly as described and performed it's purpose without complication. Pleased with purchase.

This is a NEMA 5-20R receptacle. The designation indicates that it will take a NEMA-20P *or* a NEMA-15P plug. (The difference is the shape of the neutral blade. See [...] for NEMA types, or search for "NEMA plug types."I drilled a Carlon box, and mounted this receptacle inside, so that only the receptacle was visible. (The Carlon box is rated for line voltage - UL94-5VA.) A contactor and remote switch was also mounted in the box, so that the circuit may be used for a dust collector.The quality of the receptacle is excellent, as expected from Leviton. The blades of my plug fit snugly, so they don't pull out, but may be extracted with reasonable force. The Amazon picture is poor, but the body is round, so that it may be installed in a proper box with a round hole, or a box with a single-receptacle plate.
