I got this drywall sanding pole to apply insect repellent along the edges of the ceiling and around the walls. For that it is working well. I put a cloth on the sanding head and fasten it down with the clamps. Then I spray the repellent on the cloth and run it along the ceiling and walls. Works perfect with no running or dripping. The handle can be lengthened or shortened just by screwing or unscrewing the handle pieces. I used to work in drywall and although this pole is sturdy, I'm not sure it would stand up to a lot of consistent pressure. But for my purpose it works fine.

So we live in an older house and the boss got the wise idea of blitz tear out the drywall room by room re-insulate and put new drywall up ourselves… Well, I’ll be honest I wasn’t a fan because I knew I’d be the one in there, sanding it down on a step ladder overhead with my arms, falling asleep. Well, I was wrong about some of that because I found this set up. I like the fact that I can screw as many or as little rods onto this and make it the exact height I need for the ceilings which we also Are doing, and even though our house isn’t really tall, we did start in the master bedroom and went all the way up to the peak with the ceiling now. It’s been a heck of a chore putting that stuff up, but with this sander, I can save my arms a bit. I can easily swap out the sandpaper I like the hook and loop fastener and I was able to find more sandpaper at the big box store in town, which I was a little apprehensive of since I had never actually bought this type of sandpaper, but they had it. Once the sandpaper is on it, it stays put very very well and the head of the sanding block can hit every angle I’ve thrown at it so far. It looks like I’m going to be doing a lot of sanding over the next few months as we go from one bedroom to another and end up in the kitchen and Living room area so this set up is going to come in handy!

Let me start by saying this is not a professional quality sander, but it is not priced like one either. The pole segments screw together so you can get the length you need. At its longest length, it is a bit wabbly, but it gets the job done. None of the parts are top quality, but if you are a DIYer and just have some projects around the house, this works very well.

I was a little skeptical of this product going into this. In my experience multi-piece poles end up with pretty significant play in them. This makes them pretty hard to use and non durable. This product didn't have any of that going on. It came in multiple pieces that fit together snugly. At 6'2 I am able to easily and comfortably sand the joints on the 10' ceiling that I am working on finishing. It also has hook and loop backing on the sanding block., fine for the stuff that it comes with. Fortunately that block also has screw down ends to accommodate 1/3 sheets.

This is a surprisingly solid sanding pad and pole for having so many pieces. The black plastic sleeves make the pole extremely ridgid once screwed together despite what it may look like. The sanding pad works well and is well constructed but it is somewhat undersized compared to the other sanding pads I have. You end up with a lot of excess sandpaper hanging off the ends and sides.Being able to take the pole apart when you only need 4 feet of it is especially handy. Like when your sanding in tight quarters where you would bang up against opposing walls with the full length attached, closets and narrow hallways for example. For the price this is a really good deal.
