The Background Stand is lightweight and at the same time sturdy. I recommend it to anyone needing an inexpensive solution.

Con un fondo algo pesado tuvo un poco de curvatura en la parte media del travesaño, pero se siente estable a pesar de todo.

It is nice but not sturdy. I will buy some sturdy clamps. Good for light banners. Easy to put together. Nice bag to carry in.

Si va a usarla en lugares con viento, recomiendo usar contrapesos/sand bags

A pesar de ser una solución barata, el producto está muy bien hecho, todas las partes se arman a la perfección, todos los tornillos se aprietan bien. Los tripies son del mismo modelo que yo ya tengo como portadores de luces y estoy seguro que no voy a tener problemas con ellos. Los tubos del travesaño son de poco espesor pero tienen un diámetro suficiente para aguantar unos fondos medianamente pesados. En general creo que el producto salio mejor de lo que esperaba.

You've heard it before, I'll say it again: you get what you pay for. I needed something quick and cheap for a portable studio and this is exactly cheap. I would not trust these to hold up over years and would definitely not trust these around pets or children. However, with that said, I do like that these are very tall and made from metal. The cross bars droop a LOT in the middle and I do not suggest using more than three bars across the top. The clips that come with this set are useless, even for light fabrics. Get clamps from your local hardware store and you'll be better off. When using these at full-height I suggest sand-bags or weights on the tripod legs to secure. Set-up time is roughly 15-minutes for me, but would probably go faster with two people. It is hard to extend the height with only one person having to run back and forth between the two sides. The screw knobs are plastic so I know they'll break within the year under my use, but if you plan on setting this up and leaving it alone, I'm sure the knobs will last longer. The feet of the tripod DO scratch floors so be careful there; I'd suggest anti-slip rubber mats to place the legs on when using on hard floors. The carrying case is probably the nicest part of this whole set. There's a little bit of extra room for more gear (in my case, several clamps) and the handles are attached at the perfect spots for center balance and ease of carrying. Over-all the materials are all very light-weight which makes for easy transport, but don't expect these to last very long.

This should not be compared to the heavier duty stands on the market that sell for $75.00 and up. If you are doing occasional work and using lightweight background materials, this stand will serve you well.I don't always have a car to pack heavier equipment for location work, so this is a good unit to pack in a bag with a lightweight backdrop and other gear on a travel dolly. This is perfect for lightweight location studio work. I use it for muslin and felt backgrounds 6'x9' up to 10'x 20.' The modified conduit cross bar bows in the middle causing the ring clamps to slide and not stay in place, so use some tape or clips if your backdrops do not have a cross bar sleeve. Too bad they couldn't make a tele-slide cross bar like the backdrop stand that I have in my studio. The case is nice and large I was able to add an additional stand.Be careful not to tighten the stand too tight the plastic fasteners can break. It's best to leave the stand fasteners loose when not in use.
