I'm seventysomething with weak, arthritic hands and nobody to help me in the garden. I do a lot of building with 1/2" electrical conduit, 1-1/4" PVC fittings, and t-posts, and sometimes I have to cut the conduit. This tubing cutter works great. They actually caution you not to tighten the wheel down too tight when you're making cuts, so I find it quite easy to tighten to the degree necessary to make cuts, retightening as I go until the conduit breaks off cleanly. I can sit in a chair in the shade and cut conduit all day without getting tired or having pain in my hands. Essential tool.

Used for shortening the legs of a couple of foldable metal stools. Easy to use and clean cut.

I bought this pipe cutting tool to cut the top rail of a 10x10’ chain link fence panel that had rusted. These portable panels are part of a dog kennel system. I have many of them and some have rusted and are hazardous. This tool was sooo easy to use. I’m a female and was not looking forward to hacksawing this piece off in 2 places. It would’ve took me 15 mins. I ordered this tool for the amazing price of less than $20. It took just 10 turns of the tool around each end and it popped right off. I’m so glad I have this very efficient tool around to help me in the future!

I finally got around to using this to cut the stem down to size on my new mountain bike front fork. Worked like a charm! Took about 5 minutes total to finish the job, actual cutting was only 1-2 minutes. Highly recommended!Some advice based on my experience:1. Measure, measure and measure again. You only get one chance so take your time. Mark your pipe on both sides (more on this later).2. When ready for actual cutting, line up the blade and tighten gradually. When the blade is firmly pressed to your pipe, check again that it is lined up.3. Cut your "first pass" around the stem carefully to ensure you are lined up with both your front and back markings. Try not to let it travel up or down.4. Once you're happy with your first pass and there is a "guide" groove carved around your pipe, crank up the pressure. It will have a tendency to loosen off. You don't want it to loosen off or the blade might leave this guide groove and start a new cut.5. Crank and spin, crank and spin, crank and spin.... and done in 1-2 minutes.
