Its good to have a spare battery and charger. I keep the spare battery in the camera case. I normally do not run out of battery power with the initial camara battery but having a second battery is I think a good choice. And Amazon had the correct battery

After thoroughly testing the LP-E17 Battery 2-Pack and Dual USB Charger, I'm happy to give it a five-star rating. This battery pack and charger set is a dependable choice for users of compatible digital SLR cameras, delivering consistent performance without any hitches. However, potential buyers should note that it doesn't come with a wall plug charging block, requiring a separate purchase.Firstly, the LP-E17 batteries themselves are excellent. They function perfectly, providing reliable power for my camera without any inconsistencies or unexpected power drops. I've found that the battery life is on par with, if not slightly better than, the original batteries. The batteries have also proven to be durable, showing no signs of wear and tear even after regular use and recharge cycles. The dual USB charger is another standout feature. It works just as expected, charging both batteries simultaneously and efficiently. This feature is incredibly convenient, especially for professionals or hobbyists who might be using their cameras for extended periods and need both batteries to be ready at the same time. The charger's dual USB design also allows for versatility in charging options, as it can be connected to a computer, power bank, or wall outlet with a USB adapter. That said, it's worth noting that the package doesn't include a wall plug charging block. While the charger's USB design does offer flexibility, the lack of a wall plug means you'll need to source one separately. Furthermore, this wall plug must be of sufficient wattage to ensure the charger can effectively charge the batteries. This is not necessarily a drawback, but it's a crucial detail for potential buyers to be aware of when considering this product. In conclusion, the LP-E17 Battery 2-Pack and Dual USB Charger is a top-notch choice for anyone using compatible digital SLR cameras. Despite the absence of a wall plug charging block, the set delivers excellent performance, with high-quality batteries and an efficient, versatile charger. Its flawless functionality justifies the five-star rating, making it a highly recommended accessory for enhancing your photography experience.

Used the batteries maybe 5 times. Both are showing blinking red lights which mean they are no longer chargeable. Doesn't charge in my Canon EOS RP either.Edit: I was contacted by the vendor and sent a new set of batteries. Very impressed to see that they care about their customers and their reputation.

I liked these batteries at first, but I've had them for less than year and they've stopped charging. I will delete this review and leave a 5 star if I am able to get a replacement. Amazon only has a MONTH return window, and I'm unable to get through to the manufacturer. UPDATE: Seller replaced this product and so far is working well. Good customer service. Thank you!

When I received this item, the first thing I noticed is that there are were only two contacts for each battery to charge it. I decided to return this product because I suspect that this may cause problems in the long term. There should be 4 contacts like the original battery charger. Why? If you notice on all laptops, there are several contacts on the battery. and charger. This is because the battery pack always has several batteries, and if you don't charge each one independently, they will not all get fully charged and some will be charged more than others. The reason that two contacts are not good is that it forces the exactly same amps through each battery, and if one battery is a little more charged, then it will remain a little more charged. This means that to get a full charge or fully discharged, some of the batteries may be forced beyond full capacity or over discharged, and this is hard on the batteries. Also it means that other batteries may never bet fully charged which shortens how long a battery pack will last before it has to be recharged. AND third it is possible that over a long time in some circumstances, the a battery a battery may become progressively less charged each time until the battery lasts only a short time. Recharging the batteries independently would fix this last problem.I've included a picture that shows the charger only has 2 contacts instead of four, and I've also drawn a picture to make it clear how the electrons flow (ampere flow is a measure of rate of electron flow). Now at first I thought I could put the new battery in the old charger which might fix the possibility of the unequal charge, but that didn't work. The new batteries charge in the charger that was sent with the batteries, BUT they will NOT charge in my original LP-E17 charger. The original advertisement said the batteries are exactly identical to the original LP-E17 batteries and that is DEFINITELY NOT TRUE.
