Not sure why no one makes motion sensor solar lights for pathways. These were hard to find. Most motion sensor solar lights were more like WHO'S ON MY PROPERTY rather than ~welcome to my magical garden path~ which is what I was going for. These lights are not as pretty as I wanted but as there is a huge hole in the market, it's what I got. I like that you can set them to turn off after a few seconds of no motion. I wanted something for my sidewalk that wouldn't annoy my neighbors every time I came home after dark. Or a raccoon wandered by in the night. These fit the bill. They aren't too bright either which is what I wanted. Just the right amount of light to get you to your door and then it turns off. No batteries needed.

We installed these on our path to the front door about 2 months ago - they work great! Aesthetically they are unobtrusive, and I appreciate the path lighting with solar charging. I've come home from a flight late at night and they turned out, lighting my way. Exactly what I was looking for!

If it ws standard path lighting, I'd give it a one or two for poor quality and unreachable customer service. One of four arrived with wrinkled and cracked ( permanent) protective film over the light, indicating poor quality control. But it worked and was easy to install. However, after about 6 months, another just stopped working. No way to contact company. However, it does have the two most needed attributes of path lights, and they were surprisingly hard to find in combination!First is solar powered, and they've charged well despite only 5 hours of afternoon sun--granted we're in southern Virginia.Second is motion activated only, and that's surprisingly rare. You don't want it on all night! You'll run down the solar charge, attract insects, and you're contributing to the population decline of lightening bugs and other friendly critters-- all night can even keep chrysanthemums from blooming. If you need security floodlights, they should be much bigger and stronger. These did turn on when you got close--although you had to be win a few feet. But fairly shoddy per our experience. Trying another brand for a few dollars more in hopes of getting a product that lasts more than a few months.

I was looking for a fairly bright path light that would only light up when motion was detected, and that was surprisingly hard to find. I like to keep my backyard dark unless I'm coming and going- we have lots of fireflies in summer, and I want them to stick around. Plus there's no sense using up the battery if nobody is out there. These lights both had a full-off function and were more attractive than similar lights. They seem to detect motion pretty reliably from 15+ feet away. They don't stay lit very long when triggered but it's long enough to park and get in the house, so that's fine. If you want them on dim all the time, you have the option. They're a little taller than some path lights, so they cast light for a good distance, which I like. They're fairly bright and the color is a warm white, which looks good. The stakes they came with are surprisingly stout, which was nice. Don't pull on them once they're in the ground- I tried to straighten one out this way, and immediately cracked the tube. That's on me, though, and overall these are great so I'm hoping they last.
