I mostly got this for the stand which seems ok. It’s solid but not precise. It gets the job done. The light never worked beyond a flash then shut off. I didn’t really need it and I keep hearing how these don’t last long anyway. Not great if you need a light but good deal for the stand.

This light arrived without instructions and I delayed using it. I had to refer to the product description page to help guide me on how to use it, although it really is straightforward. It seems to be pretty basic, and while I had initially planned to use this for zoom meetings. The 18" stand is barely tall enough to fit behind my monitor on my desk. I could mount it on a tripod, but that would mean adding bulk to my desk setup, which I don't want to do. The light isn't that strong, but considering I am just looking to illuminate my face from a close distance, it works. It has a multiple color temperature settings and that's another nice feature. In terms of charging, it leaves some things to be desired. I wish it was versatile, but I appreciate the fact that you can really use this light anywhere. Overall, I recommend this light with a few reservations.

I got this item and it was almost perfect, but the ball joint on the connector for the webcam does not lock into place. The screw doesnt even seem to touch it. You get what you pay for.

When this light arrived, there were no instructions and so I had to figure it out. It wasn't difficult, but as is often the case with products that are mass produced as cheaply as possible, things get left out. The good news is that all the components were there and I just had to figure it out. As is so often the case, the instructions were between my ears, but I had to refer to the seller's Amazon photos to get the details. Here are some things to know, that aren't immediately obvious. The stand for this light, is 18" high - that's not even two feet, and so to get the nice cool photo you see on the sales page, the stand has to be set on something higher - like a table or counter. Not a big deal but worth knowing, and you could always mount it on a larger stand or tripod using the standard 1/4 inch fitting. Also the light does not have a standard AC connection, and must be powered by a 12v charging device like you have for your phone or backup battery. I used a battery I have here and so that also meant I could use this light anywhere, which is an advantage - but you will need something. The light is bright, but it is small and its throw is limited - I don't think you will be able to stand ten feet away and expect the light will cover the scene - it just isn't that big or that powerful. The ball heads that come with the light are not very well made - they are certainly adequate, but when I mounted my phone in the light I noticed the ballhead started to lean over with the phone's weight, and I had to really tighten it down - but I was also concerned about tightening too much and breaking it. Its not industrial strength by any means, but it is adequate. This is a great starter light for a vlogger, and it is a very good light if you want to illuminate products for display or for sale. The set consists of the ring light, with power cord attached. The controls for the light are part of the power cord. There are three shades of brightness, 10 different light strengths and the on off switch. There is an extendable pole that attaches to the base, and the ring light attaches to that pole - the light can then be adjusted to its maximum height of 18 inches. There is also another ball head on which to mount the light to the stand. There are also two other components I had to think through but I found out its usage on the seller's page. These is a rubber pad which is magnetic and has a 1/4 inch mounting hole, and a metallic round pad. The magnetic round pad is to attach to your camera/video camera/device via the magnet, and then mount to the light. The small pad has a sticky surface which you could attach to the camera and then to the magnetic pad, which could mount to the camera. For me, I would never attach something from 3M to my camera, because you might never get it off. And magnets on electronics is never a good thing, but it could work - I just wouldn't do so. One warning, that cute little magnetic pad is a very powerful magnet and if you set it down on the supplied metal base, you will have to work to get it off - and it's rubberized and doesn't slide well - just sayin'.Overall I think this is a good starter set if you need a ring light. I believe it is more suited to my purpose, which is to light things for sale, or being reviewed. It's excellent for that purpose because it is small and maneuverable and works well on a tabletop. As a vlogging ring light - it will work, while you are saving up to get a bigger stronger one. But it is priced right, it does what you will need to do and its light is very clean and can be changed from cold, through cool, into warm. I recommend it.
