UPDATE:The original review was written in the spring. It is now mid summer. My wife liked the jacket so much I ordered another one for her. We are both very pleased with these!Oringinal Review:I live in New England where spring weather is very unpredictable. One minute it is sunny and then the next it is cold and raining -- and where I live it is a very unusual day if the wind isn't whipping from one of the four corners of the compass.I needed a windbreaker/jacket for spring outdoor work and working on my boat, which is also outdoors. I expect this jacket to live a short, hard life being exposed to things like tools, paint, grease, chemicals, and a certain amount of crawling about on the ground, climbing up ladders, and other similar activities. The other parameters I wanted were for it to be light weight for warm days, but large enough to fit over a sweat shirt on cooler days, and at least a little bit water proof for drizzle and misty conditions. This jacket has checked off all of those requirements nicely.Pay attention to the sizing chart. I am normally in-between a Large and Extra Large but according to the listed sizing chart a Medium was going to be plenty roomy enough to wear over a sweat shirt for me -- so that is what I ordered. Indeed it is just right for that purpose. It is a comfortably loose fit without the sweat shirt, and a comfortably trim fit over the sweat shirt, which is just right because it doesn't flap about and get into things like paint.I had occasion to wear it in a light rain the other day doing my daily errands and it kept me properly dry. When zipped right up to the chin the collar is a good fit around your neck keeping most stray drips and drafts out. The hood is removable (my preferred situation) but when fitted is not overly large. The hood has a draw string about the face opening and I can adjust it so that it keeps my head dry but I still have good peripheral vision. The jacket has a lightweight mesh liner inside so you won't have that clammy feeling when it is wet but in my case it takes a little fidgeting with the liner at the sleeve cuffs each time I put it on. No big deal. About those cuffs: they each have a Velcro strap on them so you can snug them up against drafts and drips too.One of the two inside pockets is made from the same mesh as the liner limiting some of its utility -- no really small stuff in that pocket. The other inside pocket is sewed over the mesh liner and even though it is the same material as the outer shell, the back of the pocket is just the mesh liner. So once again no very small stuff for that pocket either. Both inside pockets have Velcro closures. There are two generous outside "hand warmer" pockets but they have no closures, so good for stuffing your gloves in, but don't trust them with your wallet! The front zipper is a single action type zipper, so once you zip it up there is no unzipping it from the bottom a short ways to make sitting in a car seat more comfortable. A very minor issue. All in all exactly what I needed and at a great price. I will definitely buy another when the time comes. It would also make a good day hike or back packing shell because it is light, compact, and effective.Make sure to check the sizing chart carefully.

Perfect lightweight windbreaker. Not too expensive. Not too cheap. Seems to be decent quality. Fits well.

The damn thing can literally take 2-3 minutes to find just the right angle to get it to move! Otherwise, this is a very new style for me, and it's all very good.

I bought this after buying 3 different women's rain jackets which never fit right/well. This one fit just right, wasn't tight, so I could wear a sweatshirt under it. I bought this for my 10 day trip to Ireland & Scotland. Anyone that knows anything a out these places, knows it rains almost every day, which it did 8 out the 10 days we were there. It was a downpour and it wasn't all day, but at least once almost every day. This jacket was nice & lightweight, so I could tie it around my waist when I didn't need it. It also rolled nice & compact when I needed to tuck it away. The 2 pockets inside were great when we were out and about, I didn't have to worry about anyone snatching my passport, money or anything else I was carrying. This also left my outside pockets open for my hands. Others reported with wasn't waterproof, I didn't have any issues with it leaking.

Outer jacket layer balloons and puckers where it is sewn to inner webbing liner. Outer layer doesn't lay flat on the body.
