I see no evidence at all that these are stainless steel. They are also VERY magnetic and plated with chrome or similar.They seem to be accurate to roughly 2 decimal places for weight based on comparative measurements.Accurate enough for the price.

These are make from carbon steel with a chrome or similar plateing.

The plastic tongs are absolutely worthless and I expect the box to break in a few years with mild use. But the weights seem good enough for what I do and I can worry about the rest latter. Regardless, it is hard to beat this for the price.

These weights are a must have for calibration of use scales. They are precise and when the scale is calibrated, the weights are very accurate. I think these are a must have and the price is reasonable.
