I’m very impressed with this cotton but it is too big for your average serger machine. The reels are huge. They would not stand next to each other , so I had to use a small reel of cotton in similar colour to second spool . As these are far to big to go next to each other. It’s a little thicker than most cottons and severs beautifully.

Purchased a set of five 6000-yard spools of 40-weight 2-ply polyester thread in black, white, and three neutral colors. I've done occasional machine sewing for 30 years, but know little about the craft. Since purchasing this thread, I've sewed several hundred feet in face masks and dust covers for antique radios with good results and no problems. The thread comes on conical spools, which I believe are for a serger (I haven't got a clue what a serger is. I don't even know if serging is legal in Idaho!) Other reviewers noted that these spools do work on a standard machine even though they're wobbly. I chose to make a simple spool adapator from an empty standard thread spool. As shown in the photo, I ground off the flange from one end of the spool, then inserted it the bottom of the serger spool. It fits snugly and can easily be removed and reused with a different serger spool. Some reviewers commented on lint from the thread. I took a photo comparing the Mandala thread (bottom in photo) to 20-year-old Coates & Clark Dual Duty Cotton-Polyester (top in photo). Photo was taken after the products were threaded through a standard machine and pulled through a universal 90/14 needle. The cotton covering of the Mandala thread is not as tightly bound as the old Coates & Clark. So, maybe it's not the best quality, but for my sewing it doesn't make a difference.Others have commented that some spools seem less-filled than others. I found this to be the case, and estimated the discrepancy by weighing the spools. My five spools varied by less than 10 percent. Although some would assume this indicates a shortage, one could just as easily assume than the smallest spool was a full 6,000 yards and the others had extra thread. In either case, the product is so inexpensive that this issue merits little consideration.I'm perfectly happy with my purchase. For my purposes, this will be more than a lifetime supply, and I would buy it again if Amazon delivers to heaven.

Buena calidad y orecio

First time bought was very good. However when I purchased it again, a different item was sent. It was less than half the amount of thread, and without packaging.
