Much more straightforward than expected. Perfect fix for our '99 Frontier. Hope it will last as long as the original.

Quick and easy install--about 5 min. After removing the old bracket--2 10mm nuts, slide in new unit and attach with the 2 nuts. Then attach the rods by inserting their ends into the holes near the two small plastic clips which push on. Not all brackets will fit. I purchased one the day earlier from a different seller and the rod holes weren't available because the plastic clip mounts filled up the rod holes.

Would be nice to have some instructions for those of us not used to automotive type repairs. Make sure you hold onto the tailgate bars when removing the old handle or they will fall down inside the tailgate and are hard to retrieve.
