Build quality is lacking however it fit just fine and now I can open my door. Very cheap and crunchy, but does the job. We'll see for how long...

With the help of many YouTube videos out there, most people (men and women) may feel confident enough to install this part within maybe a half hour or less. Look for a good video with close ups during each step. Now the problem I ran into is NOT the fault of the new part. If you have electric windows and locks, and you're installing this handle on your driver's door, I HOPE the connector to your master switch control panel is easier to disconnect than mine was! If yours disconnects easily, this will be a quick fix for you. One commenter on one of the instructional videos recommended removing the armrest BEFORE removing the master switch control panel, since IT hooks under the armrest. With the armrest removed first, the master switch control panel can be removed from the door more easily. My only minor complaint with the new part itself is the red rectangular sticker on the door lock. It's crooked on the one I installed (driver's side handle -- for those of us who have left hand drive cars). I tried to press and twist it into its correct position, but that didn't work. I may just peel it off and try to find matching nail polish to cover that rectangle. The sticker is straight on the other handle (right side door) that came with my order. If you're installing the driver's door handle, (or any other door handle) you might want to pop out the armrest and window control switch panel and just CHECK to see if your connector will come out easily BEFORE you actually plan to install the new door handle. That way you'll know whether you need to allow for more time to fight with that connector, and with mine, it was tough getting it reconnected again. Might be due to the age of my car (18 years old). Also, I had a question about the product that I never got a good answer to. I wondered whether there was a cover for the screw that went over the hole in the new door handle. I now have my answer. The tiny cover you pop open to get to the screw on your current door handle will be covering the screw on the new one, so be gentle prying that cover open so you don't damage it too badly. Works on my car , only thing is the gray color is more on the dark side, but no a big problems , as long as it open my doior.

The dealership wanted me to pay them $80 just to look at the handle and then another $80 per hour to work on it plus the price of $139 to replace the handle.All it took was this replacement handle on Amazon and watching YouTube for two minutes and a screw driver.The handle was replaced with ease without the extreme cost.I stressed for months about the replacement cost at the dealership.Replacement was Super easy, fits perfect, opens every time now. The quality is pretty good and although the color is gray and not black, I simply replaced both because my truck is silver on the outside and it worked just fine and if no one told you they were replacements you would not know.
