I bought this handle assembly along with a new tailgate latch assemblies (a set of L & R) and a rear camera bezel. I havent received the bezel yet, so I just used the old one for now. All the new parts went to gether smoothly, fit exact, and operate just as factory. I can once again have my tailgate latch closed and locked... I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase of these new parts, as its always a gamble whether your going to get correct spec parts or not. The factory assembly as far as the handle assembly goes was so rusted that I could pull the handle but none of the internal parts of the assembly would move... and no amount of lubricant or penetrating oil would remedy this. The parts literally rusted to the point that they "fused" almost completely together! Thats New England weather for ya! It beats on everything it touches...As far as the new handle assembly and side latches, these all were an EXACT fit/replacement for rebuilding a "2011 GMC Sierra SLE ext. cab 4x4" truck tailgate (hope the specs of the truck I installed the parts on helps) I'm sure they fit other years, but I am guaranteeing perfect fitment on 2011 just for my dealings with "said" parts. The only PITA time I had with installation was with the side latches and trying to get the actuating bars to go back into the holes, and getting the little plastic locks to lock once the bars did find their way into their homes! Its a very small amount of room you get to accomplish this task in. A GOOD bit of advice... when installing the side latches, MAKE SURE that the latches are in the "UNLATCHED" position!!!!!! If not, the actuating bars wont reach. There may be another way to make installing them easier but i am only speaking of my encounter as this was a first time i'd ever had to replace these parts.Lastly, My tailgate not only functions correctly but, it closes shut nice and tight with no wiggle or looseness of any sort. My only question of the new parts now is the longevity? Happy rebuilding!

Fixed my failing tail gate that was hard to latch shut perfectly. It kept falling open. But not anymore. It closes and latches shut really easy now. Thanks. Great product! I’m happy!
