Order showed up even before estimated delivery date and were well packaged. Nice to have for safety at home or camping also ordered a couple for home!!

Article indispensable pour la maison, facile d'utilisation. Même un enfant pourrait l'utiliser en cas d'urgence une fois qu'il a reçu les explications d'utilisation. Je recommande !

The AKAYLACAYE Fire Blanket for Kitchen Home Emergency - Fiberglass Blankets Fire Survival Suspension Flames Retardant Extinguisher Great for BBQ Stove Car Garage Office Camping Caravan Safety (4Pcs)are a great alternative to fire extinguishers (although having both on hand may be more ideal)They are a good size, it's hard to tell from pictures and listed measurements but this can cover a large area no problem.Easy to deploy by pulling the tabs and quick to fully spread out to rapidly extinguish a fire.I held a blue flame lighter to it with my hand against the backside and I will say that the blanket itself did start to get hot, almost to the point it was uncomfortable to hold; it was too hot against my skin. Just something to note, it may prevent you from catching on fire if you drape this over you but you may still experience burns. I'm not saying that as a bad thing, it may still be the difference between life and death.Folding the blanket back up was not easy. For reference: fold the blanket in half, then half again from the other direction (now the long way), then into thirds and then half again and it should fit back in no problem.These blankets do seem to have a lot of loose fibers, I'm not sure if these are just left over from manufacturing or if they are coming off the blankets themselves. The blankets seem OK when scrutinized but I just don't know for sure.Compared to fire extinguishers, these are better because they don't expire and can be reused! Much more cost effective. (Of course I'm not suggesting you cheap out on fire protection, just noting the cost difference)At ~ $54 at the time of this review with a $12 potential coupon discount for a four (4) pack it's a great price and a must have for any kitchen or home.

AKAYLACAYE fire blanket 4 pack:Grease + oil fires are horrendous + difficult to put out. Water will not work. This is why I have fire extinguishers in the cabinet next to the STOVE, in the LAUNDRY ROOM, in the BASEMENT and GARAGE. Another way to put out a grease fire on the cooktop is to cut off oxygen with a lid/pan/cookie sheet, but the heat can make it hard to get close enough to put a lid on. When I saw these fire blankets, I knew I needed these without question.Prevention + early mitigation is key. Safety is paramount + 1st priority.+ HEAVY: These are heavy fiberglass blankets designed to put out fire.+ RED POUCH: Each blanket is stored in a red pouch with clear directions printed in white on the front. Pull down two large flat black nylon straps to release the blanket. Metal ring at top for hanging.Great for APARTMENTS, DORMS, CONDOS, OFFICES, and spaces where you're sharing space with others.Not a bad idea to keep one in the car.I hope I never need to use these. For peace of mind, I try to plan for the worst, and hope for the best.Would make a thoughtful caring practical gift for loved ones.NOTE: It may be worth it to check with your insurance to see if there's a discount, even if small, for having these nearby.Recommend.
