Good products perform well and provide good value. Great products perform amazingly and provide ridiculous value. This is a great product. It's design and function is specifically aimed at airbrush enthusiasts, and the value, quality, and functionality are outstanding. Easy to use straight out of the box, just a great piece of worksmanship. The added touches such as a retractable handle, airbrush holders, and rubber feet which reduce "walking" show they understand their audience. Additionally I bought this based on decibels, I was looking for sound mitigation, this has it in spades. This is an amazing air source to push your paints with consistent pressure and minimal maintenance and sound.

In all fairness I purchased this little compressor for the purpose of supplying a steady stream of air across the work surface of items being engraved by a fiber optic laser. I didn't need a lot of air. Just a steady stream of air in the 3-5 psi range. This little compressor was so cute I really wanted it to work. And it did. Barely. At 5 psi it would never output enough air to actually "catch up" and shut off the compressor and only draw from the tank. Even at about 3 psi it never seemed to catch up. But that was okay. At 3ish psi it produced a tiny stream of air that was sufficient. My engraver runs 8-9 hours per day. I checked often, but the little compressor never overheated. It was always cool to the touch. All went well for about 5-6 weeks (naturally past the Amazon return period) and then it died. I was sitting by the laser and the little machine began making a "clacking" noise that sounded like an internal piston. And it died. I examined the device for the usual things that could go wrong. I could find no apparent items that could cause a failure. I'm quite familiar with air compressors in general. I have a big one that has also failed and I've replaced pressure relief valves, high-low pressure valves, and motor starter capacitors. I suppose if I get time to diagnose this little fella I might. In the interim I'll just bleed off a tiny bit of air from my big compressor. Oh well...so it goes...
